Everyone goes through slack times. It's Sunday arvo here now, and I'm struggling to force myself out the door into the drizzle for a hill workout. Let's make a deal, if I go up now, you hit the gym next week! <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /><br />
<br />
Hope the foot clears up. Have a rest then MWF (if time) hard busy upper body sessions and you'll be able to drink while watching the test on Saturday.

did my best bench in about 10 years today!!...only cos I got an extra 80kg of weights this week, I was able to put more than just 70kg on the bar!! <br />
<br />
Good chest, abs and back workout, got myself one of the pull up things for the door frame, lats feeling it after doing a few everytime I walk past it for the past 3 days!!<br />
<img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /><br />
<br />
Foot still not right, on a scale of 1-10 (10 being high) pain threshold, only about 3-4, it hasnt really improved, nor got worse.<br />
<br />
Been the the Doctor, had it x-rayed, had some blood tests (for gout and something else she mentioned) and the diagnosis was that it will get better and can still run on it, she said it was likely somethign had burst under there which is causing the minor discomfort.<br />
<br />
As an aside, holy shit x-rays are expensive nowadays (thank god for Southern Cross!)

Nice bro! yeah weights aren't cheap, neither is health insurance!!<br />
<br />
Take it easy on the foot bro, better to scale back your running and let it come right than push too hard. Last thing you want is to make it worse. Then again the doc has given you the go ahead so that is good for some peace of mind. Hope it sorts itself out soon>

I been waiting for ages to get some weights, pretty much have what I need now in terms of weights and accessories (squat rack, punch bag, bench.<br />
<br />
yeah it doesnt hurt when I run on it, will go for a light run tomorrow.<br />
<br />
I was more concerned I may have had a stress fracture or something, so that has been put to rest anyway! I worked in Med Insurance when I lived in the UK and is yet another insurance I feel I should never be without...

went for an easy 5km run tonight (TR Jnr on his bike, and still have to push him up some hills) foot pain got to about a 5/10 in first few hundy but after that, barely noticed, and is feeling fine now.<br />
<br />
I got some prescription anti-inflammatories so they will help if I have aggravated it.

I prefer running while my kids bike alongside. Its fun. I dont like running so much with my 11 year old son though, he just leaves me for dust nowadays.

Stink mate!<br />
<br />
Backs are nasty things at times. Best to keep mobile though as they appear to fix themselves up better that way.

so despite back feeling about 75%, still wasnt right, worse to come, I put my neck out (apparently a common thing when you have a back issue due to tossing and turning during sleep using your neck to turn) back to chiro today...<img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/rugby/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /><br />
<br />
Now almost 2 weeks since last workout, and feeling stink about it!!<br />
<br />
Might go for a long walk tomorrow just to loosen everything up!

Aw man, that is stink news bro. At least you are getting treatment. Could always focus on kai while you can't train and try and lean down a bit?? something to keep you actively working on your health while you heal?<br />
<br />
Take it easy tho, a work mate has a problem with her back and has setbacks from trying to do too much, too early. Frustrating but much better than prolonging the injury! See Bartman for tips on rehab lol

<br />
Back to Chiro on Monday for a check up, but hopefully be all but normal by then, this is a long time for me to have a back issue han about! Worst bit was, it was getting a 1kg item out of the boot of my car that did it FFS!

Pinched a nerve in my back once as I simultaneously rolled out of bed and sneezed. Xmas/Boxing Day long weekend and I could get no physio...

been to chiro twice this week, back is about 90% now, still a wee bit tight, neck also about 90, with more tightness to the left...<br />
<br />
I did 5 x 25 decline push ups and 5 sets of 10 pull ups along with abs on Wednesday, feel pretty good.<br />
<br />
Will go for a walk/run tomorrow and hopefully back into full swing next week.
