Dunno about that but if I had my time again, I would have pre thought some better questions. The ones I asked were proper stupid retarded ones ... I was trying too hard to think of something different to what he normally gets.
Completely clusterfuck all around honestly!
But still, bucket list for sure!

@canefan yes. and posted it to some social networks to promote jealousy and act like my life is that awesome all the time.
I'm hoping you asked his views on SBWs latest self indulgent antics with sufficient scorn in your voice ?

@MN5 I was going to, but then I remembered that like the last 50, I don't give a flying fuck about the latest attention-seeking-effort by SBW and didn't ask.
This is one of the ferns best ever posts

So, Bucket List item of sorts.
I've got some Long Service Leave coming up in October, and while one of the things on my bucket list will be ticked off (Uluru road trip) another activity I'm keen on is some hiking (tramping to you lot) in NZ.
I have to make it a fairly quick trip, as if I spent the time I wanted (i.e. 3 months doing Te Araroa) I don't think Mrs TA would be thrilled holding down the fort by herself. So I've got about 8-10 days lined up, all on the North Island. I'd love to get going on the South Island but would leave that one until high summer.
Bits I've figured out:
Depart Sydney, hire a car in Auckland
Spend 2 nights chilling with RB at Te Aroha. Walk some local trails while there.
Head down to Lake Tarawera for an overnight camp.
Across to Mount Egmont NP for the Pouakai Circuit
Up to Waitomo for Blackwater Rafting and Glow Worm Cave - 2 nights I suppose
Back in the car to Auckland and fly homeProbably doing this around 1st week of November. The big question is whether the snow in Egmont NP will have cleared in time for that?

@NTA Best calling it Mt Taranaki too. Very few call it by it's english name and will likely rub a few people the wrong way
Damn. I was keeping him going on Egmont so he could appear a borish Ocker.

Pouakai Circuit
To be fair on Nick, it is still the Egmont NP, only the Maunga has changed name.
Nick, if you get a chance, walk around this side http://www.doc.govt.nz/Documents/parks-and-recreation/tracks-and-walks/wanganui/dawson-falls-east-egmont-brochure-and-map.PDF
Between Wilkies Pools and the swingbridge you can see marked is the Goblin Forest. Awesome at that time of year as everything is very fresh and green (greener than the greenest green thing you can imagine)

Actually either is acceptable.
Official name is "Mount Taranaki or Mount Egmont".

You are obviously so out of touch with how things work in NZ now Booboo.

Continuing on with my year of finally doing some cool shit ...
Just back from a 2 week road trip from Denver to San Fran. Arguably one of the best road trips on the planet. Drove up pikes peak (14,500 feet high - breathing is tough!), across Utah (probably the best scenery Ive seen anywhere on the planet), cheeky weekend in Vegas (Wet Republic pool party at MGM is insane ... exxy as hell, but worth it), Death Valley (snore ... it's hot, but boring otherwise) then Yosemite (epic epic place).
Some highlights were Utah roads - great condition, zero cops and you can see for miles and miles ... between 6 of us had 3 motorbikes, a camaro and a charger. I'm not a biker at all, but had serious fun in the 2 yank tanks - on one stint we averaged just under 90mph for an hour!
Also went to exotics racing in Vegas and did a few laps in a Corvette & Ferrari 458. Corvette was seriously fast in a straight line and sounded heavenly, but felt heavy in the corners. I thought it was epic until I drove the 458 ... What. A. Machine. I don't think it'll ever be topped. Hung the arse out around a corner and the guide was like, thats not right as you lose some speed ... ummmm ... sure, thing!
This has only been posted to brag, no other reason. Epic trip.
