Great work from CDG and Blundell and Nicholls to a lesser degree as our middle order were probably seen as the weak link.
CDG made it look pretty easy, sure he played and missed a few times but most of his shots were just effortless.

Blundell needs to bat at 6.. it's ridiculous that Santner and CdG bat ahead of him..
Santner just simply isn't good enough, and CdG bats like Southee/McCullum so it doesn't matter cos he scores quick anyway..

If he wasn't on debut the he possibly would, although iirc, even with Watling the recent selection groups have been reluctant to put our keeper higher than 7 due to them needing a rest.
