@taniwharugby we've had a similar experience trying to give away all of our kids stuff that he's grown out of. Most of the charities are bloody picky and only accept brand new items which is ridiculous. We've unloaded his clothes on the City Mission as at least they take some 2nd hand stuff, but his toys and other things I'm ready to just throw out as it's more hassle than it's worth.
We give all our stuff to the local hospice shops. They are always very appreciative. They take clothes toys books and even furniture. Good for all concerned

Tinned tomatoes and chickpeas.
No problem saying 'we don't want them'. But, you don't then get to say 'our kids go to bed hungry'. Hungry is hungry - even chickpeas are food if you're hungry. It's like my kids saying ' I'm bored, there's nothing to do'. Of course there isn't you entitled brats, people don't exist to cater to your every whim.
This rant sponsored by Panhead's XPA, savouries and chips. FTW.

It'll be some shit Queensland brown fizzy water masquerading as beer when you eventually get one too.
Panhead is proof that God loves us. God fucken bless.

If I want to make money, I have to keep working, so no holidays for me. I have a book to finish before Christmas, and another already written that will be going off to be edited when I get my next royalties.
On the plus side, I don't have to wear pants to work, and could drink all day if I wanted.

Only way I get to use my days off, never get to have a break during the year due to the size of the company i work for.
Helps the building industry pretty much shuts down over Xmas/New Years too -

@taniwharugby Well they are correct that chickpeas are unfit to feed to people.
Do you even hummus bro?

Not awful I'll admit.

well to kinda side track this thread somewhat...been amusing reading these the past few days:
Reminded me of a story a few years back where Charity shops were saying don't give us your CRT TVs, no one wants them, they want flat screens!
Seems some in need of help are fussy about what help they get!

Tomatoes and lentils would make a perfectly nutritious sauce to throw at some pasta.
Veges carbs and protein.
If I was on the bones of my arse I reckon I could survive on that. Wouldn't be my first choice. But hell...

Exactly.
Bloody entitled fuckwits that don't realise the use of a tin of tomatoes.
Has nobody even told them that if they crush those tomatoes in pan with some organic purple skinned garlic, stone pressed olive oil and homegrown herbs then put a layer of the resulting sauce on a 48 hour sourdough pizza base with a few slices of buffalo milk mozzarella then cook the whole lot in a 500degree applewood fired outdoor oven they will have a tasty meal for the kids!
