I know it's not your term but I hate the term "the black dog' when talking about depression. No-one I know that has suffered from this talks about the black dog. All I hear about is a fear, a fear that can't easily be described.
Not to negate your point but to discuss further.
I'm pretty sure ome others do find the term quite a good description of how they feel.
I don't know the origins of the term as linked to depression but I do remember people like Tim Finn trying to explain his feelings by describing them as a black dog following him around ready to pounce.
I do know that Black Dog is an old folklore entity for evil or a portent of death, an apparition that creates fear.
I know the term doesn't describe the way all sufferers feel but I do think it is a good visual term to try and describe to non sufferers and raise awareness. I guess it's a good entity for a campaign to work off.Pretty sure Tim Finn's Dirty Creature is about his battle with depression.

Several of the songs on Time and Tide that Tim Finn wrote or co-wrote touch on his battle with depression. Haul Away and Never Ceases To Amaze Me in particular.

I thought that too, but apparently its about his issues with anxiety which I guess is closely related . When I looked it up I had a read of the lyrics, he really is a great songwriter.

You may be right now I think about it. Doesn't Haul Away mention a nervous breakdown? It's been ages since I have listened to it.
Apparently the costumes and make up in the early days helped Tim and Phil Judd cope with anxiety and stage fright.

Burt Reynolds, dead at 82. Even the Bandit gets caught in the end.

Legend . I was surprised his career didn’t pick up more after Boogie Nights .

Pisser, he did look pretty crapped out when he appeared on Fast n Loud a while back. They were doing a Bandit Trans Am
Best show on telly
Agree, I’m not petrol head but it’s one of the few worth while shows here on Sky ( partial to Wheeler Dealers too)
Fast n Loud is definitely not your run of the mill by the numbers boring car show.
‘ Stupid Ass Monkey!’ -

RIP Lewis.
Thanks for safely guiding the boys down the river.
Yeah the Avon is no place for the faint hearted
I really hope this triggers our favourite Cantab based ferners
The Avon river, thats where they dump murdered hookers isn’t it,?
