I don't think TLJ was a steaming turd but it does concern me that and Solo are vying for 10th spot on my list ( Phantom Menace coming in a respectable 8th )
I certainly do. Was going to watch Solo when it's free but not so sure now....
Watch it and see brudda
Is it true that Lando is actually screwing that droid?
Yeah but it’s tasteful shot, mildly slows the pace down plot wise. Only awkward part is when 3PO makes an unexpected cameo and joins in
Did you notice that on your 50th or 51st viewing?
38th
51 times is how often I’ve watch Last Jedi
You sad bastard.
-
@Virgil where would you place Solo on a scale of 1-10 ( conveniently there is 10 films to compare )
My revised list....
ESB
ROTJ
ANH ( ROTJ has recently usurped it, superb film, ewoks can't quite change that )
ROTS
R1
AOTC
TFA
TPM
Solo ( there are some cool lines and the train heist and Kessel scenes are great viewing )
TFA -

Which pales into comparison to the amount of time these blokes log in, open the thread, and repeat the same whines about SW.
I'm actually most annoyed with Disney for not saving Solo until Xmas because now I have nothing to look forward to. Dec 19 is a long time away.
Then practice what you preach and just ignore them. That was your advice about the latest SW films. You can't even ignore a couple of comments on the internet.

A couple of hundred you mean? And what is this new standard on the Fern? Not to be hypocrites? We may as well all pack up our keyboards now.

TFAROTJ is my favourite. Probably because it was the first one I saw at the cinemas and one of my earliest memories. But growing up it was always the one I liked the most.
Ever see the Battle for Endor? Loved that as a kid but may not have aged well.

Same but ESB is an even better film overall I reckon despite quite big plot flaws ( weird dialogue between DV and the Emp, timing issues as in how long Luke was on dagobah etc )

It is a great film. It also provided some incredible cliffhangers which TLJ fucked up royally. Surely even the uncle fuckers who saw it 50 times can't dispute that.

I musta missed something, I didnt get that Lando was shagging a robot?? It was late when I was watching it, s maybe I missed the innuendo

TFASlots in behind the OT and R1, ahead of the new trilogy, with the prequels bringing up the rear.

Nah it was nothing in my eyes. A real stretch to say he was pansexual(?), was it the actor that said that because if it was never said I'd never have suspected

My understanding is that the robot suggested that they were rooting. The innuendo was there at least.

Your understanding?
Maybe watch first, throw comments later? The droid was commenting on relationships and, as part of the droid character having problems accepting that it wasn't actually human, inferred a crush on Lando and a belief the feeling was mutual. The comment thrown back was 'is that even possible?' to which the reply was 'oh yes'.
I would never have taken it as sexual innuendo if others hadn't bleated on about it and drawn out the pansexual comment about Lando. To me it was about having a strong (read loving) relationship between a droid and human.
The other thing to realise is that once this droid 'dies' its IP and personality is absorbed into the Falcon which is part of the backstory as to why Lando feels so strongly about the ship and how Han and Chewie were able to outrun/outsmart the Empire for so long.
I thought it was an interesting addition to the SW universe.
But hey, if you want to make it about gender politics to prove your point about why you don't like a movie you haven't seen then feel free. -
While we are doing lists, here's mine
ANHStar Wars (the awesome original that started everything)
ROTJ (more in the spirit of SW as a matinee bit of fun)
ESB (As a standalone it isn't that great, but easily the best 'piece' of story)
TPM (yep, as part of the saga it is shite and can be left out altogether as per the machete order. But as a standalone movie for entertainment it has some excellent set pieces)
TFA (modern copy of ANH and if watched by itself is an OK movie with some brilliant scenes such as the MF dogfight and the X-Wings coming in to battle)
Solo (I enjoyed it and it added some new stuff as well as explaining some old. Again, saved by some excellent set pieces)
R1 (an OK movie by itself but not one to rewatch too much. Too disjointed)
ROTS (leaves a bad feeling and suffers from more awful acting/dialogue but has some moments)
AOTC (almost unwatchable) -

You should watch it, I expect you would change your mind. She is Lando's Chewbacca. They care for each other like any partnership. The sexual relationship banter was simply that. His reaction when she got shot up was no different to the way Luke felt when R2 got into scrapes

But hey, if you want to make it about gender politics to prove your point about why you don't like a movie you haven't seen then feel free.So they were inferring the possibility of a sexual relationship between a robot and a human? In a SW film. Thanks for clarifying it. But hey if you think that's appropriate in a SW film give yourself an upper cut.
