Yeah she sounds like human garbage. How big is the Somali community in Minnesota? The pro disease crowd convinced a lot of them not to vaccinate and there’s been outbreaks of measles etc .

This is hilarious. Damn those evil racist white women for voting for the Hispanic dude over the white dude.

@rancid-schnitzel Texas might go Dem' in the future due to coastal whites moving there in increasing numbers .

Ironic isn't it that blue staters are migrating in huge numbers to those disgusting red states. Must be something those evil racist bigots are doing well.

Most of them are probably inflicting themselves on Austin if they can afford it.

From memory, it's (Austin/Roundrock) the third ranked for movers from other states, after DFW and Houston. Interestingly, all three of those are getting bluer, and in these elections I think both Dallas and Houston finally flipped Democrat (I think all three voted for Hillary).
The only factor not mentioned by others is how cheap land is in Texas. It's crazy how much you can get for the money - I think the median in many of those cities is well less than $200,000 (probably less than $150,000). So, if you chose your district right, you'll live in a little bubble and never see anyone you don't like (I wrote about this before after my trip to Austin last year).

Yes, and not really.
Austin downtown, BBQ, and music are awesome. The rest sucks.
I have friends who would go on both sides of the current culture wars (some of them family members), and the biggest thing I took home was ppl living in their little ‘safe’ spaces surrounded by the same voices.
So, my republican friends live in a gated community with Trump signs, watch Fox News, and eat at the club, where they play golf with like-minders. My ‘liberal’ friends are in their neighborhoods, going to cafes and out to music bars (especially in Austin) and only watching MSM.
And, apart from both of these worlds, the cities (especially) shit holes. In fact, in Austin for example, there are some proper dodgy neighborhoods (I went to these looking for legit Mexican food, which I found). There were beggars everywhere and Wal-Mart really was a cornocopia of deplorables, where some guys followed me into the parking lot trying sell me junk, some one had shit in the middle of the floor in the toilet, and you couldn’t walk for fat fucks in mobility scooters.
So, yes, great places in and around there, but also truly shitty.
I’d say the same about DFE, San Antonio, and probably Houston (although it’s been a while since I was there).
Small town Texas is still fun, if you can get down with red neck stuff like country music (Gruene), and beer (Shiner) and horses/rodeo etc (which I have a background in).
