@mn5 with SL 14/3 you’re really laying your balls in the line with that prediction aren’t you....

    I said 'Could'.....

Terrible shot choice on that last wicket. Playing too far from his body as well.

That first LBW looked to me that it was easily going to hit the top third of the stumps, but tracker had it at umpires call. Haven't watched any of the aussie stuff but I recall reading there has been some 'discussion' about the accuracy of the tracker.

Haha. I remember biffing oldest boy over the fence after a 20/20 when we were leaving once, he was four at the time and the line was massive so I saw a couple of blokes over the fence and enquired if I threw him over would they kindly catch him.

Luckily the GCs did just that.

Of course this parenting is about as politically correct as, well, being a straight white bloke in NZ but fuck it. Effective....

    Geez we're a harsh bunch.

CDGH has pretty much gone from being a gutsy bloke making the most of his talents to a waste of space in a single season....

@mn5 I’m harsh on anyone who bowls a no ball.

There is no bloody need for any of them to even go close to bowling one! Southee lands miles behind the line most of the time and he seems to go ok!

The point is that a bowler running in at CdG's pace shouldn't be overstepping. It's not the first time it has cost him a wicket either.

So Wags eventually gets the 4th. Karunaratne strangled to BJ.

    Matthews on 60ish, Chandimal 1.

    Need to break this partnership.

274/8 honours even I reckon. The BCs probably expected to knock them over when they walked out after lunch

Now 275/9 at stumps. A little morale booster wicket at the death for boult

Weird old day - Sri Lanka looked mostly poor, we looked mostly good with the ball (aside form Boult who looks injured or knackered) yet somehow NZ come out at evens.

Raval and Latham seem to have forgotten they are decent players and reverted to the 'shit opener' Black Cap stereotype. Both owe the team some runs so KW and Rossco can put the feet up for a bit.

They're like judder bars on the way to our middle order at the moment. It's one thing to get a peach but too often they get themselves out

As a Black Caps fan, I sometimes feel like a bloody Labrador. So optimistic of the world

    (pants) this time is different

(tongue out) Jeets and Lath will do it this time for sure

Missed the whole day due to kids birthday parties, but was disappointed to see we chose to bowl first. Fast bowlers with too much influence. IMO Sri Lanka are ahead at the moment, we will need 400+ in our first dig to avoid having to chase a tricky total in the 4th innings.
