Jules will always be the prime example of how speed is such a fickle mistress. She'll make your life a breeze, out running every fucker, then one day she'll pop out to get some milk and never return again, leaving you to pick up the pieces and get mown down from behind.

I'll never disparage ol' treadmill, because he gave me sheer bliss in that black jersey for many many moments. For that short time ( seemingly) he was the perfect last destination from that awesome pack and inside backwork we had under Richie.
    The bus fucken ruled!!
Until his speed up and fucked off on him

Not the first, won't be the last.

Will be really interesting to see how long Ioane lasts.

@taniwharugby yeah it's crazy innit? Saw it with Rok, Jane, Nehe, Caleb - oh wait, hang on.

The inevitability of it all is ominous.

Perhaps Mils hung on better than most

@Canerbry speedwise? I can't remember him slowing down much. Short term memory might've done a runner on him though

@Siam Fullback, not wing, at the end. 27 yrs max only applies to wings, and not wings who transform ie Tana into centre

And not the hybrid-fullback-wing that has played 14 the better part of the last decade.

@hydro11 that boat has well and truly sailed. He'd have to wind the clock back to 2015 and earlier to even get on the radar. As has been discussed at length on the fern, you have more chance of finding a unicorn than seeing an AB winger play much after turning 27-28 years of age.

    Ben Smith is a Unicorn?

Jane pushed through into his early thirties at AB level. In all those exceptions except for Mils I never really would have thought their speed or step comprised a big part of their game. Whereas Dagg and Cullen, while fullbacks, were never the same after they lost a gear and their step.

Will be interesting with Beaudy like that - he is the magic 27 years old now and even the most ardent BB fan would have to admit if he loses his pace he doesn't have much else to fall back on at test level.

Been mentioned, but you have to wonder about the common sense of this Toulon owner. He seems to recruit based exclusively on hype or endorsement deals rather than actually check their present playing ability. If he'd even conducted the most basic due diligence he would have found out that JS is now shit. Same goes for Kwade. And the less said about Henson (aka the most overrated rugby player of all time) the better. And now he's got NMS who wouldn't be able to evade a geriatric these days. Surely he must have people around him that know this, but are they too scared to offer an opinion? It's just so weird that it keeps on happening.

so harsh but true. I've never seen a winger make a simple try look like such hard work as he managed last year.

How about the 2017 intercept try when BB did that tricky shit. For 99% of wingers it would have been lock the gate, but he was run down with ridiculous ease. It's a shame because the 2015 vintage was absolutely superb.

Reminiscent of Caleb Ralph getting run down by Chresten Davis in an NPC match some years back.

@Rancid-Schnitzel that was the try I thought @MN5 was referring too...

Boudjellal sounds like a bit of a fluffybunny though, guess when you rich, you behave like that and your little lapdogs still kiss your arse.
