That’s the lead story on the herald . My first thought was how sad it was and how he seemed pretty humble and down to earth every time I saw him interviewed and he didn’t end up being a parody of himself like Richard Greico which is probably pretty easy when every teenage girl in the western world had a poster of you on their bedroom wall.
The second thing I thought was 52?How old was he when he was playing a teenager?
he was good in the Buffy the Vampire slayer too along with Kristy Swanson ( well, obviously she was the main reason I enjoyed it )
One of my first crushes absolutely loved Luke Perry. He used to occasionally drink beer, he had sidies, he didn't have a 'boy body' like I did ( about the height I am now but 65kg dripping wet ) so she thought he was such a bad boy.... I flustered and pointed out he must have been about 25-26 in real life ( back in those days googling someone's age obviously wasn't an option ).
I'll flick her a message on FB, she may need comforting.
The Luke Perry phenomenon always puzzled me. Jason Priestly I could understand, but Perry was a pale, scrawny ET looking dude.
Really sad about his death though. That's pretty damn young these days.
It was as much about the character, than anything else. Broody, James Dean type, mega weathy guy who seems a bit sad. Lady catnip.
Same as Lip on Shameless. Face like a dropped pie , but brooding and sad. Ladies love him

Mrs Mariner was a bit devo this morning. I would imagine there are a lot of ladies our age who are.
Fucking 90210 was a TV phenomenon
As for the Prodigy guy, that sucks. Saw them at the BDO and they were fucking manic. As with a large number of us here, thrashed The Fat of the Land (jesus, so did the Outback really) but Voodoo People has always been my favourite Prodigy track

Geez not another one.
Can't remember much of him in the ring but his guest appearance in Married with Children was superb entertainment. RIP

Yeah I think he was one of those obese but strong and surprisingly mobile guys.
Fuck me Hulk Hogan must have attended some funerals in his time....

Airwolf TV star Jan-Michael Vincent dies at 73
Thats sad , Big Wednesday is the greatest movie ever made . He'd had a lot of issues since he made that though.
Matt Johnson:
You know, Mrs. Barlow, there's something I'd like straighten out.Mrs. Barlow:
What's that, Matt?Matt Johnson:
Well, I did a lot of things around here I'm kind of ashamed of. I tore up your lawn with my '40 Ford...Mrs. Barlow:
Many times.Matt Johnson:
Took my pants off in front of your friends...Mrs. Barlow:
Oh, yes.Matt Johnson:
And I even passed out in your closet, but I never, and I don't know who could have if I didn't, but I never, and I repeat never, ever pissed in your steam iron. -

Sergeant Slaughter better watch out, Hogan's main opponents from each of the first 6 Wrestlemanias are dead (Piper, Bundy, Andre, Andre, Macho Man, Warrior).

I used to love reruns of their show growing up, and the music was catchy. One of their hits 'I'm a Believer' was written by Neil Diamond of all people
“ I’m a bereaver” seems more suitable
And you accuse me of Dad jokes. Anyway, you still got an upvote.

Dick Dale just died aged 81.
Poor bugger had to keep touring in order to pay for various cancer and diabetes treatments apparently.
I think you'll all agree what a wicked player he was, the live version of this in particular is a fucken banger. RIP.
it's a shame he's not more of a household name, he should be, speaking as a miso this track is tough to play well.

Ranking Roger lost his battle with C.
In the spirit of the current political bullshit maybe a remake of this with a title change to 'Stand down Theresa' is in order?

Ow my ears
I'm sure it was a very powerful message but by golly that was painful to listen to.
