Heart Rate

@taniwharugby due to my various health shit, I've been doing blood pressure and HR pretty consistently.
Varies anywhere between low 50s to low 70s for me, light exercise (walking) up to 110 and running is probably above 150 - don't tend to go to max due to the aura thing.
The medication I'm taking for cholesterol doesn't really change BPM. So I'd say you're in the ballpark.

mine from a run on Thursday

good topic
Mine used to be 45-50 resting, and peak exercise: cycling in the gym it seemed to go 160-180, hill repeats it topped out at 230 or so, down to 110 in a minute of rest after finishing. Not sure what it would reach at the bottom of the hill on each repeat, since I was racing down too (on a stopwatch)...I will soon check out and post here what those numbers are now I am older and much less fit, then aim for improvements by end July.

Garmin is telling me mine is in the mid-70s right now.
I did a 10km run on Saturday and the max was 184, average 167. My heart seems to work really fucking hard when i run, not so much on the bike or in the pool.
According to my Garmin app, my average resting heart rate for the last 12 months is 64, training is 134

I actually measured my resting heart rate a couple of weeks ago and it was 45. The highest I've recorded it was 206 which makes a mockery of the old rule of 220 minus your age.
It doesn't matter how fit I get, it tends to smash into the wrong zone, it's just whether I can keep it there.

I had a Nike TOMTOM watch with chest HR monitor I would wear for runs and in the gym. I started my next set as soon as I dropped below 120 beats (so less rest at the start more at later sets). Stopped wearing it for running as I found it didn't reflect much in my training or tiredness during the run would just reach 160-165 and didn't flucuate much.
Was interesting (and unsurprising) to see which exercises spiked my HR the most and also due to increased acuracy when tracking my calorie output for my fitness pal was a big difference (like 10-25% less in the gym burnt with chest HR monitor)
Found the wrist HR monitor alone on either my nike watch or fitbit have both over shot at the high side and under shot on the low side my actual hr.
Resting HR from my fitbit atm is between 55-60.

At first glance there I thought you were doing some pretty decent hill running until I saw the scale and remembered you were on top of the escarpment to start with.
Red hill? Mt Taylor?

Did a workout on Saturday and finished with 2 min pretty much flat out on the rowing machine...
Think this is the first time I have seen my HR go over 200...not sure if I should be worried?
Of my 40 or so activities in Nov/Dec including other rows, my ave is 138BPM and my red zone is usually 185-195
