Alright, its time to claim underdog status..

It's undeniable that there's been improvements under MacDonald but the team still has plenty of weaknesses. The next monkey to get off the back is a win away from home against a NZ side

The last win away from home against a NZ side? Way back in Kirwan's first year as coach (2013) the Blues beat the Hurricanes 34-20 in Wellington

The last time we beat the Chiefs away from Eden Park? 2011 - a narrow 16-13 win in shitty weather

That game was part of the 7 games in a row that Pat Lam's side won. That streak included four wins against NZ sides, 3 of which were away from home.

History is definitely against the Blues. If we do somehow win, there's a strong case that MacDonalds Blues side is the best since Lam's 2011 team

HAHA no way the Blues are underdogs in this game. Ancient history is exactly that - I think you could claim a 'too close to chose' with the Chief's improvement, but I think the Blues are the better side this season.

You can't be underdogs as we haven't won at home all season!!

I bet secretly you are already licking your lips at the thought of $100 Double Shot of Whisky! 🙂

When in doubt, consult the TAB...

    Chiefs $1.57
    Blues $2.35

we're a buck 57 favourites? haha holy shit that's absurd.

This is the Blues to lose. A squad so good the have 4 ABs on the bench.

Yeah nah - Chiefs are favoured.

Chiefs are coming off a bye - Blues have no SBW, no Gibson, probably no Rieko.

Blues haven't won an away derby in forever and haven't beaten Chiefs since 2011.

    Neither had the Sunwolves.....

Look at the competition table. Blues are favourites.

Chiefs are easily favourites. Home advantage still matters, no matter where you are on the table, and the Blues haven’t beaten a NZ team away in a million years.

Good compliment that people are arguing, but if we win it’ll be an upset.

Blues have beaten all the teams this season that the Chiefs have lost to (where the Blues and Chiefs have both played same oppo)

That's not true. Chiefs beat Jags and Blues lost to Jags. Chiefs the last few weeks look a different team - 2 wins and a draw from their last 3 games.

Good point! Forgot about Jags. Sunwolves and Highlanders

Those TAB odds are strange but I suppose home advantage is a thing. Will be a good encounter, as a Chiefs fan I'm definitely worried but we'll see. Excited for Saturday.

Papalii to start. Jed Brown moves onto the bench. Duffie takes Collins bench spot.
