It's happening..anyone get the impression those creating these laws have never actually used the internet before?
"Morning Ramesh, yeah just this 4 pack of Kronenburg, pack of gum and a wank license thanks, cheers"
-
@Kirwan Yep that's his strategy. No matter what they say or do mainstream media is going to lie and misrepresent them so the best thing to do is abuse the crap outta them knowing it will get reported and rely that genuine people will do their own research.
-
Sargon and his team are absolutely killing it at the moment. They are running sit down debates with members of the public, including activist opposition, through various locations in the South West. Some really terrific chats and it doesn't take long to realise just how well thought out and reasonable he is. He's also dealing with the media terrifically, refusing to let them mis-characterise his beliefs knowing full well that is non-PC comments are going to get him air-time which he can then use to push his channel so others can understand his values and where possible actually push real issues.
He has literally hundreds of hours of video and right now there is no doubt dozens of journalists and activists going through these with a fine tooth comb looking for something to take out of context and try and crucify him with. They are too stupid to realise that this infamy is only going to make him more popular and further demolish trust in UK media when individuals see for themselves just how badly he is misrepresented.
Just wait until they find the video where he used the 'N' word...you can almost guarantee media will leave out the part about how it was in an argument with literal racist alt-righters where he was using their language to piss them off.

@Rembrandt the best thing Corbyn ever did was ask questions in parliament that were sent to him on twitter, even Cameron complimented him on it. Unfortunately normal transmission resumed but it was great to see them actually discussing peoples concerns and not trying to play gotcha for a change.
-
@Rembrandt "what's your definition of alt right?" He asked the interviewer. Of course she gave no coherent answer.
More of this would be good.
In his interviews with the public he framed a great question to a leftist woman, "I know what you're anti, but what do you actually stand for?"
She didn't know.
If you find someone anti this and anti that, ask them what they want, not what they're against. It seems to flummox them
-
@Siam he tried to get a definition of 'Far right' from sky news without much luck. Full audio here
I'm guessing the journo wasn't aware of the recording because she also made a 'hot take' video that is complete slander...technology really is screwing up these professional liers careers.
Comments were disabled once it became apparent viewers had seen through her bullshit

Well I’ve just got back from the UK today. The place is truly fucked.
Actually, not really. Everybody I talked to was sick to death of Brexit and couldn’t care less how it goes from here in, they just want it to stop dominating their lives and for the political classes to STFU. They also couldn’t be less interested in the EU elections. As usual people are just getting on with their lives and very few of them are worked up about pretty much anything everybody on here is interested in.
I still go twice a year and TBH most people don’t really do politics. They like to have a moan but most of them think that Labour and the Tories are as useless as each other, while the smaller parties are jokes.
BTW, still no sharia law in East London that I saw, nobody accosting anyone, unless you count the Brick Lane hawkers trying to tell you their curry house is better than Tayyabs, which is always untrue .

@JC How many times did you get stabbed?
Same number as usual.
I lived in the UK last time(s) they tried to do something about knife crime. Banned combat knives in the 90s. Banned knife sales to under 18s in the mid 2000s. Look how well that has worked. 🙄

Will be interesting to see the turnout for the euro elections and where the votes go.
Labour/Conservatives - Same shit different day
Ukip/Brexit Party - Fuck y'all we want out
Lib Dems/CUKChange UK party - Remain forever! Will also be interesting to see what the turnout figures are like.
-
@Catogrande My guess would be a similar turnout to the last one with those given up on politics offset by those insensed by the madness. Conservatives to be the biggest losers with a significant portion of their votes going between the new parties and ukip.
Tommy could be very interesting. I understand he could get in with as little as 8% of the vote which going by the last vote could be at about 140,000. I guess we will see how many do actually support him in towns like Rochdale and Huddersfield.
-
@Rembrandt You could be right about the turnout but something else to factor in is that we don't really seem to care much about the Euro elections historically. I agree though that TR is likely to provide some fireworks.
-
@Catogrande yep no one gave a damn when I lived there. Still if you were part of the 17.4 million it must be tempting to stick a finger in Europes eye for shits and giggles.
-
@Rembrandt For sure there will be a lot of disgruntled people thanks to the mess we're in. Funny though isn't it that political parties are standing for elections to a body they don't want to be a part of?
