This show is just getting stupider and stupider with each episode in order to wrap things up.
When ships have their weapons at the bow and can't turn as quick as a dragon wouldn't it be obvious to swing around behind them and fry the fuckers? How did those weapons reload so quickly anyway?
Given the destructive power and range those big crossbows had the ones on the wall could have easily taken out the remaining dragon.
Jon Snow continues to prove that he really does know nothing.
Dragon bitch shows all the negotiating ability of Theresa May. 'Let's demand they surrender because, you know, they are safely housed behind big walls, we are missing most of our army and we would rather not fight.'

All money is on Arya and the Hound sneaking in to KL for front row tickets to Cleganebowl

I was pretty amused to see the frizzy haired chick lose her head, mainly so all the guys who erroneously think she is hot lose their shite.

The hot ones always die, we’re used to it by now

Watching the HBO inside the episode on YouTube, D&D (the show runners) saying Dany kinda forgot about Eurons Iron Fleet....🤦‍♂️

@Virgil and she had the gall to arc up at sansa for suggesting her army gets some rest. Aside from (poorly used) dragons Dany brings fuck all to the war planning side of things.

    Soooooooooooo....
Emilia Clarke apparently said Ep5 will be the best out of the series. Definitely think shizzle is going down next ep big deaths and game over, ep 6 will be the tie up lose ends episode.
All this Jon Snow knows nothing is building up to him making a stance I reckon, Dany is unraveling, I think she will well and truly turn on him and fail. I also suspect she might be murdered by someone closer to home now maybe in the final ep...
The dragon scene was sad I must admit, that sexy pirate Greyjoy is going to need to be taken out next episode and I hope the dragon burns his head off.
What is Arya up to now though? She can't go killing anymore big bads as it'll turn into the Arya show. Hound fella is off to see the mountain and will die by his hand.
Sansa is so annoying sometimes with her meddling and Bran does absolutely nothing.. Even the scene where Jon says "you tell them" they don't even bother showing it! It's getting a bit boring now I need more mystical chat from Bran, give us something.

Personally, the major let down if this ep for me was the lack of emotion from Jon leaving his wolf there should have been a scene with the dog trying to follow him etc, I need a cry for FFS... alt text

Well not that much really happened in that episode, but it sets up the next to be an absolute epic. Missandei's days were always numbered given they've been killing off the lesser characters to keep people happy. I assume we'll lose some big names next episode.

I'm pretty disappointed with the dragons at the moment TBH. I'd expect them to see/hear those spears coming a mile away, if they're such amazing mythical creatures why are they so easy to shoot down? Don't seem like much of a weapon at all.

Anyway, I'm still enjoying it for what it is. The writers had limited time to come up with a workable plot for a very complex story that was meant to be two books long, so my expectations were never super high.

What is it about dragons that render them incapable of attacking anything from behind? Isn't one of the advantages of being able to fly that you can go round and outflank an enemy? And isn't another one that since you're up high you might as well look down and see if there's anybody else lurking about that you don't like the look of? But what would I know, dragon fighting tactics are clearly more complex than I understand.

@Rocky-Rockbottom said in GOT - there will be spoilers:

some superbly salty language in that episode.

how the hell did the dwarf know Cersei is preggers?

when Melisandre and Cersei were standing right next to each other on the rickety barrierless platform Melisandre couldve easily grabbed the bitch and done a double suicide plunge. she knew she was completely fahked anyway

Brienne suddenly having a strap-on stiffy for Goldfinger was all a bit weird

just dawned on me, after 2,000 episodes, that Jon Snow doesnt know how to smile. He smiles like someone who just sat on a hemmorhoid

    Jamie told him.

My take is that 6 episodes hasn't been enough to wrap this story up, and they have rushed it. And bizarrely, three of the eposides haven't had a huge amount of story.

Sill, even as it is, very entertaining TV.

While I’ve enjoyed this final season on the whole it still hasn’t reached the heights I expected.
They gave themselves nearly 2 years to end this and probably all but an unlimited budget. Yet in many areas it comes across rushed and illogical. They are cutting corners, some characters have been underused. There’s still over 2 and 1/2 hours nearly 3 hours left. Maybe they have been holding back and it will all make sense in the end but I don’t hold much hope.
    What’s the point of Bran?
Bronn appeared. Threatened Jamie and Tyrion then was gone.
Is it that hard to include Ghost a little more?

D&D seemed better suited at working from grrm original work and making it work on tv. But since the tv show left the books behind you get a sense they are making it up as they go.
The show was better too when grrm was on board as a writer.
You can’t fault it as a spectacle, it’s acting it’s music but the writing...

Yeah, and from what @RLx31 says above the next one is going to be the last really epic one. I assume we'll get some main character deaths and a few twists thrown in for good measure.

well shit. I'm going to be disappointed aren't i?

For some reason i thought there were 8 episodes, and we had time for shit to play out.

Seems dragons are just like every other innovative weapon, good for a short period, and quickly superseded. Ridiculous how quickly she lost 2 of the fucking things. Also what is the point of flying if you can't see things coming? It's not like those ships are Americas Cup water rockets.

I hope Sansa wins, she seems to be the only one with her head screwed on.

I’d be a legendary general if I was in Westeros - not because I’d be that brilliant but just because I’m not an idiot.

They’re doing The Walking Dead style making the characters stupider as the series goes on!

I’d rather 8 hour long eps than these 6 weird timed ones.

Fuck I hate Bran. I hated Ramsey as well but in a good way, I hate Bran for being a hopeless ineffective cripple that everyone fawns over....
