What is it about dragons that render them incapable of attacking anything from behind? Isn't one of the advantages of being able to fly that you can go round and outflank an enemy? And isn't another one that since you're up high you might as well look down and see if there's anybody else lurking about that you don't like the look of? But what would I know, dragon fighting tactics are clearly more complex than I understand.

some superbly salty language in that episode.
how the hell did the dwarf know Cersei is preggers?
when Melisandre and Cersei were standing right next to each other on the rickety barrierless platform Melisandre couldve easily grabbed the bitch and done a double suicide plunge. she knew she was completely fahked anyway
Brienne suddenly having a strap-on stiffy for Goldfinger was all a bit weird
just dawned on me, after 2,000 episodes, that Jon Snow doesnt know how to smile. He smiles like someone who just sat on a hemmorhoid
Jamie told him.

While I’ve enjoyed this final season on the whole it still hasn’t reached the heights I expected.
They gave themselves nearly 2 years to end this and probably all but an unlimited budget. Yet in many areas it comes across rushed and illogical. They are cutting corners, some characters have been underused. There’s still over 2 and 1/2 hours nearly 3 hours left. Maybe they have been holding back and it will all make sense in the end but I don’t hold much hope.
What’s the point of Bran?
Bronn appeared. Threatened Jamie and Tyrion then was gone.
Is it that hard to include Ghost a little more?D&D seemed better suited at working from grrm original work and making it work on tv. But since the tv show left the books behind you get a sense they are making it up as they go.
The show was better too when grrm was on board as a writer.
You can’t fault it as a spectacle, it’s acting it’s music but the writing... -
Are there only 2 episodes to go?

Yeah, and from what @RLx31 says above the next one is going to be the last really epic one. I assume we'll get some main character deaths and a few twists thrown in for good measure.
-
well shit. I'm going to be disappointed aren't i?
For some reason i thought there were 8 episodes, and we had time for shit to play out.
Seems dragons are just like every other innovative weapon, good for a short period, and quickly superseded. Ridiculous how quickly she lost 2 of the fucking things. Also what is the point of flying if you can't see things coming? It's not like those ships are Americas Cup water rockets.
I hope Sansa wins, she seems to be the only one with her head screwed on.

I’d be a legendary general if I was in Westeros - not because I’d be that brilliant but just because I’m not an idiot.
They’re doing The Walking Dead style making the characters stupider as the series goes on!
I’d rather 8 hour long eps than these 6 weird timed ones.

-
So Ghost is ok with Jon just cruising off and letting him know telepathically he can Cruise north?
They used an awful lot of wood in thier fires at the start...
Man Cersei is a smug bitch, just always one step ahead and an ace up her sleeve...right now, odds are in her favour although given how ruthless she is, she will no doubt live to regret not firing her spears into that dragon sitting well within range.

You can’t fault it as a spectacle, it’s acting it’s music but the writing...That's been painfully obvious since Season 5. It's easy to get distracted by the action and excitement, but the series really is a total mess. Blame the fat pervert for that.
The battle tactics in E3 were monumentally shit. Let's just let our entire cavalry charge into the dark and get slaughtered. Let's not protect our artillery. What about moats or ditches? The ground might be frozen but the dragons could probably dig shit up. The Dothraki could have taken out thousands just by attacking them from a distance with their bows and slowly falling back. And how about some boiling oil to empty on attackers scaling the walls? Very weak.
Best part of this series has been Bronn with the whores.

@MN5 surely, surely there is some play off for Bran coming. Because if he continues to do fuck all...
I don't see why. He's a cripple who has an ability to see beyond mere mortals. He's not going to put on a cape and save the day. Although you'd think he might have scouted for the fleet...
Generally speaking I think we're all going to be disappointed because the writing is terrible. Amateurish would be a glowing endorsement.

Bran was used as bait during the battle. It seemed to be the consensus that they were fucked and that their only hope was taking out the NK. Why then just guard Bran with a couple of archers? What was the plan exactly? It was only by dumb luck that Ayra ended up there at the right time.

I feel like this show is becoming a bit average.
Question:
Was there any foreshadowing whatsoever that the Hound would have a panic attack in the middle of the battle with the Undead? (seemed unrealistic that he, of all people, would freak out)Yeah, it was the fire. He freaked out just like that at the battle of Blackwater as well. Because his brother held his face in the fire when they were kids.

I have a theory that Dany might actually win and crush everyone else. Seems like a GRRM move. She will change from freeing everyone into being just another mad Targaryan on the throne, the twist will be that all this was just so that the Targaryans could get the Iron Throne back.
The more things change the more they stay the same scenario.... -
