The modern entitled generation. Instead of enjoying what they are given they complain like babies.

I've seen a petition about stopping people from petitioning for remakes of stuff they don't like. I can get behind that kind of thinking!!

Have been giving this season so far a bit of thought (given in just a few days it will all be over)
Its not like Season 8 has been a train wreck and its not like the previous 7 seasons havent seen their fair share of dud moments either.
Even the earlier seasons have had 'poor' episodes. Some were flat, didnt advance the story much.
Its felt they never quite found the right balance between rushing storylines and pacing them correctly.
I find it funny most of the moaning this season has been its rushed, yet the first 2 episodes not alot happened (No deaths) and some complained they were too slow...They definitely needed more this year, rather then 6 longer episodes it would have made more sense to have 8 - 10 normal length ones. Its felt like they went from A - D, rather then A - B - C then D.
Logic hasn't always been their strong point, the ability for characters to teleport around Westeros has always come up for discussion. But this year its been worse, feels like some minor tweeks and better thought things could have been better.
I had no real problem with the battle at Winterfell but it might have easier to understand if they showed some forces held back or if they choose that episode to lose Rhaegal (rather then the surprise attack very next episode)
They also could have shown Jon spying Arya heading to confront the Night King and hence him keeping the undead Dragon distracted.
Or even had Dani and her 2 dragons attack Eurons fleet and then losing Rhaegal in the process.Had no problem with Dani going full Mad Queen i think it was always going to happen, it just could have been more plausible if they took their time with her story. Another couple episodes back in Season 7 and the same here.
They should also have spent more time with Euron, he feels too shoehorned to be the new bad guy. Again they could have told more of his story back in Season 7.I do feel the hate and trolling is over the top however, given i keep seeing the same piss weak and unfunny jokes (Hold my beer..) with every FB post or Youtube upload, im certain most people are just trolling for the sake of it.
The scores on IMDB are ridiculous, hasnt been a 9.9 type episode this year but definitely not deserving of the 6 and 7 scores 'fans'have given them.We wont know till GRRM finally publishes both books how close the final 2 seasons are to his story. Theres a good chance D&D did sit down with George and he laid out how the story ends, they just got there in their own way.

I think some of the plot armour and "convenient" fights has been a bit over the top this season. Greyjoy just happening to swim ashore to fight Jaime being the main one, at least the Hound was actively looking for his brother so less so there.
Fatboy Sam surviving so many battles irks me, particularly when the "mighty" Dothraki ( who are athletic enough to stand on horses backs while riding ) get wiped out without a moments thought.
Actually Lord of the Rings has an equally fat useless prick called Sam as well......
Definitely sucks to be called Sam.

Agree, would have made more sense if Jamie ran into a kings guard etc and fought them, would have been more satisfying if Euron died in the sea battle or if he made it back to KL and Dani roasted him while she was razing the city.
Like I said above a few small tweaks and better pacing it could have felt more natural and believable. -

I wonder how many kills the dragon got all up, surely in the tens of thousands.....

As someone who doesn't like the books (more accurately, I didn't like the one I read), and really enjoyed the first 3 seasons for the political intrigue, but have never felt it was a top tier show personally, I haven't been getting as up in arms as some out there.
Don't get me wrong, I think they could have done some things better (especially writing better battlefield tactics etc), but I don't think it's as bad as the teeth gnashing is some quarters. I do think the big error they made was the short series of long episodes. If this had played out over 10 one hour episodes I think even with similar screen time Euron would have been more of a 'character' and the Mad Queen going mad wouldn't have felt so abrupt to some people.
Some of the memes have been great, a couple of friends and I share them in an iMessage thread - but I guess that's curated, so it doesn't get annoying to me.
Anyway, GoT has been a great show, doesn't threaten my top 10 but I've enjoyed watching it.

Who's everyones favourite bad guy ? who died in the most satisfying way ( so far )
Greyjoy and Joffrey aren't a patch on Ramsay in my opinion.

That rewriting petition, and some of the associated social media commentary, is that Simpsons episode come to life. Fuck me dead.

The Ramsey storyline actually annoyed me as he was too cartoon villain for my liking.
I actually think Cersei's death was the most "GoT" way to die ... not the best, but fitting with the early seasons of how people just died.

Other then Euron all the deaths have been fine (except Rhaegal)
Thought Cersei dying how she did was appropriate, her world caving in around her. Jamie was always going to die, and with his sister/lover.:::

@Virgil I reckon it would have been cool if Jamie and Cersei got to the cove to get confronted by Euron. He shanks Jamie who is dying, then J lets him know it's his kid and Euron kills Cersei out of spite. Cue Jamie making a last gasp effort to kill Euron and he dies alongside Cersei. Or Cersei helps finish Euron off at the end, but all three die. Now that would have been spicy!

Btw, given that barely a minute goes by at TSF without there being a complaint about or insult levelled at a sportsperson for their perceived lack of ability/faults, isn't it kind of hypocritical to complain that people do the same thing with TV shows they watch?
