@No-Quarter They certainly stood out for me in the books, but it was so long ago! Basically the only death on the series that has really got me is Hodor's, that was a real GRR moment. Villains, so has to be post book to effect me, I'd say the High Sparrow, I really enjoyed the Sept going up in flames episode piece, music helped a lot, and then The Dipshit King jumping!
-
@Machpants freaking Hodor! How could I forget. The wife is still upset about that.

@No-Quarter remind her he was gay bro

Yes, but hung like a giant. Well he is in the books anyway.
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel and the TV series, the wildling girl mentions it specifically, thankfully I can't remember if it was shown on screen in its full giants blood glory!
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel bingo! 😁

I think Season 7 had my biggest "Yeah Right" moment. Anyone remember when Jaime is charging at Dany and the Dragon on horseback and Bron come in last minute and knocks him off and they both start sinking in the lake. Fast forward to the next scene and they have swam a kilometre under water with armor and Jamies gold hand. Umm yeah ok.
Due to the existence of the Dragon, I'm unsure whether you're allowed to be annoyed by that.
Another one was Stannis' army being completely overwhelmed but he somehow teleports into the forest and Brianne appears out of nowhere to cut his head off. But again, Dragon, magic, walking dead etc. so just stupid to complain.
I don't think it's wrong to want "realism within the world" so to speak.
I mean if an army turned up with machine guns everyone would say how stupid and out of place it is "within the GOT universe".
Star Wars can obviously explain any rapid travelling with "going into hyperspace" so I don't think it's asking too much to have a bit of realism when it comes to people taking ages to travel either on foot or horseback.
I fucken love this scene for example but have a look at about 3.59 when Bronn throws his dagger, given his opponent is charging at him on horseback equally quick he must have had to throw it a mile to even get close ! Ridiculous. ( but overall still epic )

Sooooo, Harrenhall was an inside job too?
"When the sun had gone down, Aegon flew Balerion high above Harrenhal, before plunging down upon Harrenhal, burning the castle beneath him. All that was flammable, both supplies and ironmen, caught fire within the castle, while Harrenhal's stone towers cracked and melted."

Gave in to a few theories for the last episode... All have me stupidly excited, no doubt they will make a fool out of me again, fave being...
The J-Man is still alive. He can't go crawling back to Brienne though, she deserves better.
-
Nah, can't see him being alive. Mad Queen will promise to free everyone like she made the people of king's landing free. She'll imprison or fry Tyrion, he'll confront her. Jon will finally do something useful and stab her whilst kissing her. He then head to the north in shame, but at least ghost gets a pat fan service. So that leaves just bran for the throne, Sansa will stay north. Dragon will fly off with Danny dead, Arya will go off too. Horse lords and unsullied will return to the east, they've an empire there. Most of that doesn't make much sense but it ties everything off, DND style

Just let me have it for goodness sake, I didn't get the dragon babies

@Machpants What is Bran’s claim to the throne? Have Stark’s got some birthright I don’t know about?
Nothing, but the last few seasons have had very little sense. But it is the sort of thing that would tie up lose ends nicely, not make sense
