Watched Prince of the City (1981) again recently and it's still bloody good.

@Nepia Fargo is humorous...this was not, it also failed in its attempt to be like Fargo.

Personally, I found it very humorous. It was worth the $10 I paid to see it so I was happy.

I can't figure Neeson out. His acting in Schindlers List is nothing short of sensational but did he figure it was smarter to go for the easy route of playing the same "washed up but has some old school skills" character in every movie instead ?

Compare his output to Daniel Day Lewis's for example.

At least Neeson isn't grossly overrated.

@MN5 Maybe he likes making money? Following the Michael Caine philosophy of that movie paid for that house.

Although, I’ve heard him on the Empire podcast say that he genuinely likes making action films.

Pretty rough. DDL is quite the actor. Who is better ? ( all opinion of course )

@Nepia am sure they are fun to make...but he seems type-cast in a number of his roles at present to me.

Do they throw the roles in some sort of ballot and see which of Neeson, Bruce Willis or John Travolta take them first ?

I loved JT in Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction but by christ he has done some absolute shit too. His "hair" acts better than he does.

I've never loved Willis much but he's pretty solid and reliable in everything he does.

Pretty rough lumping Neeson in with those two, his movies make box office while those two are DTV these days.

Dawn of the Dead ( 2004 version )

Really good flick of it's kind considering some of the utter crap that the genre has provided us. Possibly the first flick with "running" Zombies I ever saw which adds to the fear factor immensely. Ving Rhames good as ever, I also liked the hot blond chick who isn't in movies any more ( Sarah Polley is her name, outstanding rack ) and some decent if very cliched supporting characters.

    Nice and gory too.

Blade - some of the special effects havent aged well, but given it isnt heavy with them, didnt detract from overall viewing, still a good film

Great film, watched it again at Easter. Phil Dunphy is good at playing an arsehole.

Sarah Polley was great in Go too.
