26 from 38 is an absolute cake walk. What are we doing.

I expect Colin to go big or go home, and a bit of pinch hitting in that situation is understandable, but Jimmy just needed to bat it out. The run rate is so friendly.

Was almost tempted to break the curse word edict... but jesus.

At least Southee isn't in there, 26 off 38 would be treated as 26 of 8.

and the replacemetn for Timmah, Matt Henry strokes a classy 4. 11 needed from 26.

Outside of Taylor, the whole batting lineup needs to give themselves an uppercut.

Guppy, Kane, Latham and Neesh need to have long hard look at themselves.

Excellent, Saifuddin all but gifts the game away with wides and Lockie nabs a boundary. Scores level.

Not great for the Net Run Rate (from what it could have been) but a near death experience and a chance for everyone to bat isn't a bad thing given the tournament.

Poor run chase overall, if we throw wickets away like that against the big boys we won't get within 100 runs.

That said will take the win. The Bangles will cause a few problems this CWC, good to get them out the way early.

Ferg's missus appears to be a goer!

Holy shit we made tough work of that. Started listening after Kane was out but it sounded like we'd do it at a canter.

Jaysus that was dicey near the end. But we got the W!!!

Watching the first innings Kane's captaincy and bowling changes saved probably 20-30 runs IMO, just had really strong plans A, B and C to the Bangles top order and rotated the bowlers well for the most part (Neesham...) given the limited hand.

NZ played one and a quarter innings of good cricket then made a series of catastrophic errors while the Bangles played consistently good cricket with metronomic brain-farts every five overs or so, including the butchered run out and wides at the end. Lucky to get the W and the good news is the Bangles should tip over another quality side and take two points from them.
