Following up the last two posts , heres the latest circulation stats. The dom post and Press have been absolutely hammered, I don't know much about the press but the dom post is a joke . I didn't actually know the Sunday news was still going tbh.
Maybe @smudge can give some reasons why the ODT seems to be the only one not haemorrhaging readers at the same rate as the other papers?

Quite simply, they still consider local news to be of merit. It's a point of difference because you're unlikely to find that news anywhere else (although Stuff do have a hard working reporter based in Dunedin). The have council reporters, court reporters, and cover all sorts of local sport (and racing). People still like seeing the names of people the know in the paper - even if it is in the court news...

Do they consider hard work actually proof reading ? If that’s the case they’ve got the rest of the country beat.

@jegga i do miss a Sunday dump without the Sunday news and their startling insights ( I’m still waiting for Filipo Levi to make his AB debut like they ‘scooped’ ) but I guess the flip side is a phone doesn’t make the same rustling sound ?

Can’t use it when you run out of paper either.

The ODT does have sub-editors and the stories generally havd at least have 2-3 other sets of eyes on them before they are sent to the printers but a few changes still make it to print...

@jegga Why does she need a gay wedding planner? Does she only shop at gay supermarkets? Fill up her car at gay petrol stations?

Fark she's a twit, giving bisexuals a bad name.

Its more attention whoring, will she need a gay divorce lawyer for part 2 of this look at me series of articles ? .A simple google search suggests shes full of shit too unless somewhere hidden behind the paywall she actually points out that there are gay wedding planners in NZ

@jegga I'd say most wedding planners unless they were hyper religious would be more than willing to accommodate a gay wedding. Cos funnily enough, queer people use the same currency to buy shit as straight people.

Yeah but for everyone that looks like her there’s a load of Ursula Carlsons.....

As an aside while driving in rural Hawkes Bay over the weekend I was tuning the radio and caught an ad for her ‘comedy’ tour.

Wow. I think I’d rather have a threesome with Hilary Barry and Anika Moa than attend that.
