Toy story 4 was good, few laughs for the grown ups too. Wasn't happy about the ending... How dare Woody.
Excited for Lion King!!! Although these Disney remakes tend to disappoint me somewhat, I'll give it a chance.Plan is to watch Top Gun, never seen it and not sure why as it seems my jam, and interested in seeing the new one because who doesn't love seeing old actors trying to be cool again.
Need to work on your GIFfing hun!

Shawshank Redemption.
Classic
Nuff said.
Yep. In my top 5 favourite movies of all time. I would have to think about the other 4 though.
I watched another Stephen King-Frank Darabont film last night, The Green Mile. I had forgotten what a very good movie that is too. Sam Rockwell is brilliant.
It should have won some awards but was up against American Beauty.

The Operative - Diane Kruger, Martin Short.
Based on the book The English teacher...bit slow and long, but was ok...

@jegga I think I'm looking forward to that one. The First World War fascinates and repels me at the same time.
Same here, I just checked out the Gallipoli exhibition in the weekend at the national museum. mrs Jegga teared up when she saw the story about the guys on the machine gun who kept the thing going to support their mates and in the end there was a pile of bodies as men dragged away the dead and took their place till they were killed and their mates replaced them. https://www.tepapa.govt.nz/visit/exhibitions/gallipoli-scale-our-war

I'm watching a documentary about a guy who did 50 "iron men" in 50 states in 50 days.
This guy is insane!! He's operating on 5 hours sleep a night!!
Also, people on social media are the fucking worst.

@mariner4life well, I suppose there's just more homo-erotica choices around these days....

The Revenant. Leo bags an Oscar for being mauled by a bear and playing half dead for most of the film. Tom Hardy should have gotten the gong. That guy is amazing.
Was entertaining enough but was almost GoT like in its level of absurdity. -

Eastwood's The Mule.
Did I sleep through the bit where Clint got the blood on his face and arrested?2 this is an ok film out of 5 wtf happened after the cartel found him late with deliveries
Clint is the coolest mother fucker to ever walk the earth but even I thought this movie was a bit of a bridge too far, sort of a "why bother?" moment in his career, he's 90 next year.
Still decent enough overall though.

Probably. But in saying that every single other one apart from the awful Death Proof have some sensational scenes and dialogue.

I think we all did our Tarantino ranking in this thread a year or so back. IIRC it's in my top 3 with Pulp and Inglorious Basterds (but I may be 100% wrong such is my faulty memory).

Apt description.
I wish Michael Madsens schedule hadn't clashed and he coulda played Vincent Vega, as awesome as John Travolta was I suspect Madsen woulda been even better.
