France - 3 times losing finalists. I only know a few French fans and they're all top blokes. they rented my house in 2011 and I had a couple of fantastic sessions with them Allez les Blue
On the other hand I know plenty of Pom, Ocker, Saffa, Taff and Paddy [and Kiwi] supporters who are insufferable piston wristed gibbons, so no thanks.
My old man was at a bar with one other kiwi in San Diego and a bunch of french fans watching the 2007 quarter final , from what he told me about their behaviour they aren’t any better than the rest of us .
Anyone who says Australia needs the clockwork orange treatment watching the Bledisloe ads that had a waka full of Maori turning up in Australia and immediately signing up for the dole .

I was at the match. They aren't.

That new clockwork orange treatment could gather some momentum. We have plenty of material.

The old 'choose your poison' question.
I might agree with Wales, if I hadn't seen some social media comments recently from fans of another first time "clear-winner-on-the-pitch" this year - England at Lords - which made me want to throw my screen under the nearest freight train. My hunch is that Wales would see it as their long overdue destiny.... well, or just be insufferable for four years.
Plus Gatland.
Maybe France. Maybe, maybe the Springboks. Otherwise none of the other likely contenders have any appeal whatsoever. I'd vote for Fiji having seen their fans having an awesome time at the Sevens, but unfortunately their 15's have much less chance...

I don't believe Hansen wouldn't mind Oz winning it.
He talks a lot of shit sometimes.I take him at face value on this one. When our cricket team gets talked up by Aussies I don't take it as a compliment.

Ireland winning lowers the chance of Fozzie becomes head coach (or if he does it is not for as long), so I guess them and there isn't really too much to have against them or how they've gone about their business post-BODgate.
I wouldn't begrudge it to SA either (putting the racial stuff aside).

Samoa ( that’s not happening), then wales for me
I'm probably the same, then France or Argentina I guess, but I wouldn't mind the Boks winning if none of the others do. Maybe Scotland but then we'd have to perma ban @MN5 as he'd be unbearable.
I don't want Australia, England or Ireland to win.
-
@Donsteppa There's plenty of nations I'd prefer to win it ahead of France; Samoa, Japan, Georgia but I restricted myself to those with a chance. In which case wouldn't mind Argentina. When I watched AB's play there they were good fluffybunnies

I ruled out Argentina - probably due to a fan that had a tendency to piss me off...
They have also had some very soccer like histrionics in the past (not so much lately to be fair).

Blerk. What a 'choice'. I have a Welsh name and a soft spot for the Taffies, plus there's an OG TSF poster who's Welsh and a buddy of mine who I'd be stoked for. As others have said, I wouldn't like to lose to the eventual winners though; can't quite put my finger on why, but that'd be galling.
I certainly don't want Australia, SA or England to win, and Ireland are almost in that category also.
-
I'm exercising my selfish privilege - anyone who plays us regularly and promotes our competitions.
Therefore, of the major nations in order I'd prefer:
SA
Arg
Ausdaylight
France
Including Scotland here so @MN5 doesn't get too wound up
Wales
Ireland
England -

I would take any in that order, and as a bonus NOT facing the ABs to do so just so some of you have something (pathetic) to cling to in terms of facing down another semifinal choke.
only one team that actually deserves the term chokers, and they where Blue, usually.....
