@NTA if you watch Read carefully, you can see he is imagining the guy he is tackling is St David of the Pococks, which means 2 more weeks!

SO, does the citing window close 36 hours after the match. Which would mean 130ish NZT this afternoon (ie 4 hours away).

Do I presume that since we haven't heard antying aside from frenzied media speculation, that no citings are likely?

@nzzp just the super rich NZR buying off officials again.

Based on the point below (This must be within the agreed time frames of the competition) and the competition being the RWC and tighter turnarounds, the time frame would be less than say TRC or 6N?

    World Rugby Passport - Officiating

Teams may bring alleged offences to the attention of the Citing Commissioner for review. This must be within the agreed time frames of the competition. The Citing Commissioner can request additional video footage from the broadcaster or the teams to assist with any investigation. They can also interview the victim and other witnesses and obtain medical reports and other evidence such as photographs of injuries.

A citing complaint by a Citing Commissioner must usually be sent in writing to the nominated officer of the Host Union or Tournament Organiser responsible for the match in which the incident occurred. The timeframes for this can vary between games and tournaments. Ordinarily it is within a minimum of 12 hours and no later than a maximum of 48 hours post-match. In exceptional circumstances, an extension of time can be granted on application to the Judicial Officer appointed to the match.

@taniwharugby 36 hours, on p3 of the document I found

Edit: 12 hours for team referral, 36 hours for citing commissioner, hearing within 48 hours. Fast justice 🙂

    Mitigating circumstances?
Olmstead is offside and obstructing Read's arm from wrapping. Read readies his arm to swing around but is blocked from doing so.

I think it's OK - only if it reaches the red card threshold, and only if the citing commissioner decides to cite before 1-130 this afternoon NZT. Pretty sure it won't happen 🙂

One thing it showed is that McCaw forgot to pass the invisibility cloak on with the captaincy.
