Wonder if all the long-lost English friends who called me last Saturday to ask if I saw the game are waiting by the phone...

    Biggest final win?

Think us against Frogs 35-12 in 99?

    But that is under threat

Well done Rassie and the Boks, showed us all how it’s done. You start up front and win that battle first.

He wasn’t a dick when he did, let’s not be dicks for someone else’s win.

Rubbish. They won the games that counted. Worth world champions.

Goes to show back to back performances are tough. We couldn’t back up our Irish win, and England had the same problem

That is a great comeback. Proper coach proper selection and SA back at the summit.

First time we've had a RWC champion that lost a pool game. Not that that's relevant, but doubtless to pop up in pub quizzes and the like.

I guess we can put that into the moral victory cabinet though (along with the 2010 soccer world cup, only unbeaten team trophy).

I'm so sad. Better team won then.
    The whole game lacked sexiness.

Quite a turnaround from 57-0 a few years ago

First nation to win after losing a pool game. So that hooodoo is broken.

Boks built into the tournament after that first tough loss to the ABs.

    Good on them
