Announced today, the 2019 Rugby Championship venues in NZ:

Sat, 27 July 2019: All Blacks v South Africa @ Westpac Stadium, Wellington
Sat, 17 August 2019: All Blacks v Australia @ Eden Park, Auckland (Bledisloe II)

That's in addition to the Bledisloe I match that was already announced for Sunday, 11 August 2019, 12.00am NZT in Perth.

According to the Irish media (repeated in NZ media), NZ and Ireland are negotiating about a three-test Ireland tour to New Zealand in 2022. If this is true, that makes you wonder about the support for that so-called League of Nations (top 12 ranked nations) that was discussed in the NH International Rugby thread, which WR is supposedly discussing.

The same media are stating that Ireland are also hosting New Zealand in November 2021.

I couldn't find a better thread for this, so I'm posting this here. I'll make a "pre-RWC internationals" blog post soon.

Manu Samoa will play a New Zealand Heartland XV team at Eden Park on August 31, while Fiji will play Tonga in a double header billed as the Pasifika Challenge II The Road to Japan.

One issue though is that the games are on the same day as the second round of the Heartland Championship, so it's likely these provinces will be without their best players for that day.

It will also clash with a round of the Mitre 10 Cup and although none of the teams in the Auckland region are playing at home that day, Waikato host Auckland at 7.35pm.

@KiwiMurph haha, that headline is quite mis-leading with a picture of Pivac (took me a few sec to realise it was him)

The 2020 Steinlager Series opponents were already known, with two tests against Wales and one against Scotland in July announced earlier this year.

Now, the first November test has been announced, too. The All Blacks will play England on 7 November 2020.

Another All Blacks test for November 2020 has been confirmed:

In the weekend of 20 November, the ABs will be hosted by Scotland at Murrayfield (kick-off TBC).

@Stargazer "Scotland will open the campaign against the Pumas on the weekend of 6 November followed by the previously announced fixture against the Brave Blossoms over weekend of 13 November, before finishing the series against the world’s number-two ranked side, New Zealand, over weekend of 20 November."

So they love to mention that, they don't mention Jap or Arg ranking.

With the B&I Lions going to Jaapieland in 2021, in all likelihood, we will get France here next year.

Then Ireland or England in 2022 - then potentially no-one in 2023.

Currently, I think Ireland were last here in 2012; England 2014.

Will be a long time between drinks for one of those teams.

@Machpants not something I'd get offended about - to me they're simply showing that they'll be measuring themselves up against a much better side.

The rumours (published first by L'Equipe) are that France will tour Japan for two matches and may add one game - against NZ or Australia - to its tour schedule in 2021.

The other home nations will be understrength due to the Lions tour. The question is, therefore, which other nations NZ and Australia could play.

This article from Rugbypass suggests that the Pacific Nations will benefit, which could be true. Italy is also named as a possible opponent of the All Blacks. The question is, which other teams are strong enough to make sure the July tests will be interesting enough?A July Series against - say - Fiji, Italy and Samoa/Tonga, is that really good enough? But who else?

The above idea of playing all or some of the PI nations doesn't take into account that they may already play the Pacific Nations Cup, which may or may not affect their availability for tests against NZ and Australia.

Rumoured French tour to Japan should worry All Blacks and Wallabies fans but might spark good news for Pacific Islands

If rumours out of France are anything to go by, then New Zealand and Australia could be in for underwhelming Test schedules in 2021.

Marvel Stadium aka Docklands is an oval though not too ridiculously big. The image on google maps shows a soccer pitch layout.

That might be worth a look...

I hope so! I'm now looking at the Test as being my first game under the roof in Dunners!
