Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet
An Apple offering set in the office of the biggest online RPG.
Watched a couple of eps, looks like it could be a decent time filler (25 min eps)

Been watching "Hip Hop Evolution" on Netflix. Bloody good documentary, they guy s well researched, and interviews a fuckload of really famous people.
DMC was pretty fucking funny talking about how much they hated making "Walk This Way"
Not every episode appeals to me, but the ones that do are bloody good.

I saw that on another show, they has Steven Tyler telling his side too. The wall in the video was supposed to be set up to break pretty easily but they didn't do it properly and Tyler lost his shit . 1:32 into the clip

Cobra
A look at the British government in the midst of a terrible crisis. As widespread power outages cause chaos and threaten lives across the country, the COBRA committee comprised of the UK's leading experts and politicians, gathers to find a way to turn the lights back on. On the backdrop of violent unrest in the streets, difficult decisions will need to be made against the clock if the country is to survive.
Sounds good eh?
DONT!
Just finished episode 3. Awful writing. Absolutely shit.

As much as they 'hated it', that song was a masterstroke in bringing hip hop to the masses and making them (and others) a shed load of $.
The other masterstroke was offering adidas a way into pop culture.Have you watched 'Who killed Jam Master J'?

I watched Hitsville, the making of Motown recently. Great doco and amazing listening to the music and being reminded of how influential they were. Even if you don't think you liked Motown, you liked Motown
Yeah, it was better than most the locos done in the past. Gordy has mellowed a lot in his old age and comes across as a reasonable bloke, when he was far from it. Smokey's plastic face is creepy though.
In a similar vein, but portrayed warts and all, I have been watching 'American Soul' the TV series based around Don Cornelius and Soul Train. "based on actual happenings' would be the best description although the general theme of him bringing black popular culture to the small screen is true. Worth a watch for the outfits alone as long as you can get through the cheesy sub-plots.
BTW, Kelly Rowland does amazing work as Gladys Knight. Not only looks like her, but had the voice down pat and does a very cool torch song version of Midnight Train. -
Watched Agatha Christie's "The Pale Horse" on BBC (Rufus Sewell).
The other BBC Christie adaptations have been great but this was bloody awful - confusing, hammy and actually quite dull.

The Stranger.
Follows the lives of suburban families whose secrets and lies are made public by the appearance of a stranger.
Based on a Harlan Coben novel.
Pretty decent. Starts off as very far-fetched and rather annoying, but after a few episodes we came to grips with that and ended up quite enjoying it. Worth a watch.
Finished Jett - really good.
Just finished season 1 of Save Me.
On a tireless quest to find his missing daughter Jody, Nelly will go to any length to uncover the truth and he'll discover more about him than he could have ever imagined.
Again, pretty far-fetched and annoying, but a pretty good thriller. Worth a watch, but I think we'll have a break before deciding to watch the second series - not sure it really warranted one. Keep an eye out for the odd displays of "everyday estate life".

Anyone know much about this new rugby player reality show in NZ?

The plenty on here that claim they could have been a contender. Maybe we should nominate someone?

Greats of Super Rugby replays in SkySport
Just watched the one on Cully.
True great. I doubt we will see another like him tbf.
That Canes period with Cully, Jonah and Tana created waiting lists for Stadium tickets despite losses and, what today would be called, failures.
People want to see star quality doing amazing things and will pay for the privilege. -

I have been watching a show called the League as well, about a fantasy football (US) league, it has off beat humour kind of like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Stumbled across The League yesterday on Foxtel. Watched the first 4 episodes so far and finding it very good. Men Behaving Badly/Peep Show type humour. I can't believe it took me this long to find it.

Are you having the same issue as me? Going to the start of threads instead of most recent?
It was years ago that I watched the finale of The League. 🤣

@Nepia lol I knew it was an old post. I searched to see if anyone had mentioned it because I had never heard of The League until yesterday. Your post was about the only one that came up.
I am proud that I managed to use the search successfully!
