Lockdown/Covid Check In

appreciate the good wishes, people. Like i said when I first posted in this thread, it's the community here that keeps me coming back, politics be damned. I'll get through this - at least I can focus on analog stuff now. And being home sure beats being unemployed for 12 months on a 444 SCV in Australia.
-
Has anyone else adapted to the current level of shitness too? I think last week escalated to a new level of shit, and now I'm adapting to that too. Work will trigger me, it's always work and then I'll panic about it all like omg let me live on the moon and then I sleep and get over it.
Home is my complete haven at the moment, it's just perfect and I can forget what is going on in the world to a degree. If I was going to work and coming home to any empty house that would be tough...
Thinking of any ferners struggling.

@R-L Adaptation is the thing and likely different for us all. Fairly easy for me atm, I can work from home, workload is pretty easy. Income has taken a hit but is comfortable. All I have to worry about currently is the boredom aspect. In truth that is more about not being ABLE to do things rather than not actually doing them. At the moment anyway. So I have it easy. I really sympathise with guys like you that are having to do a very stressful job, juggle a family and still have many of the lesser issues that I have. These times will be seminal in your lifetime and how you handle them may be defining. You seem like a strong character and I’m sure you will find a way through this. Communication is extremely important, whether that is with your family, your colleagues or just with a load of fat drunks you know on the internet. Do use those lifelines.

BTW it isn't me posting pictures of buttery, glazed croissants or slow cooked shoulders.
I have been eating quite healthily (so far). Snacks to a minimum. Basing meals around whatever fresh veg needs eating up so as not to waste anything... got to make up for the extra beer consumption some how.
There was one piggy item produced the other day, more as an experiment on technique but it was bloody nice. Will move over to the food thread with the recipe....

Wedding anniversary on Good Friday. Planned menu has to change due to ingredient availability. Was hoping for tomahawk steak with potato gratin, broccoli And a reduction sauce.
However has to settle for lamb rack instead. Gutted as here us the tomahawk last time I made it.

Keep a clean work area man or get out of my kitchen!

load of fat drunks you know on the internet
You couldn't be further from the truth, I always imagine you all look like this...
Jamie Dornan that's good in the kitchen @Hooroo
Jamie Dornan that has eyebrow fetish and gif game @Bones
The funniest Jamie Dornan @mariner4life
Jamie Dornan that always give me an upvote @Virgil
Jamie Dornan who knows how to use an ironing board @MiketheSnow
Jamie Dornan who loves Bono too @Donsteppa
The "nice guy" Jamie Dornan @taniwharugbyAnd jeez there are a lot of Jamie Dornans that like Star Wars..
The reality is that more than half of you probably look like this...
But its still lovely to read your banter and very knowledgeable and insightful comments (really) during this time. You are an uplifting bunch.

Gee I’m only good for a vote?...
I didn’t even make the Jamie Dorman list despite helpfully pointing out she was doing Star Wars all wrong.
