Covid-19 and keeping fit

@Paekakboyz yea I might just cut back the stuff by the fence so I can walk down there, as there will be an issue with disposal too...
Circuit with TR Jnr today:
15 burpees, 15 air squats, 15 press ups, 15 sit ups, run 130m
14 burpees, 14 air squats, 14 press ups, 14 air ups, run 130m
13 burpees....you get the picture...finish on the round of 5 of eachTR Jnr certainly getting the better of me, although his technique on burpees and press ups need work.

How do you easily post pics on here? Can they be uploaded to tsf via mobile or need to host elsewhere?

Wow thanks mate! Never seen that I could swipe across for further options haha
My strava below. Feel free to add if wish to follow (and not following already)
Must be nice to have a bit of off road to add variety.

@voodoo ha ha you asked! actually most of the stuff we've been doing is without any weight at all.
Today was 3 rounds of the following - as many reps as possible of each in 30sec. With a 30 sec break between super sets.
- Plank into 30 sec of push ups
- Squats then dips
- Lunges (alternating blocks of 5 each leg) and curls (7kg DB) you could swap them out for a push up variation or pressing against a wall or something.
- Burpees.
Always looking to match a push/pull or legs versus upper body exercise in each super set. Then make sure you are overloading across super sets. The lunges today messed me up as I was still fatigued from squats.
When I train with the gym bros we make more use of the DB. Tricep extensions, shoulder press, stupid numbers of reps doing DB pressing, plus a few other things. I've realised my gas tank is an ok weight for rows so that's a bonus lol.
On Monday when we went balls to the wall we did well over a hundred reps across the 3 rounds for every exercise. It sucked hard but pausing for a bit then squeezing out a few more reps really works. It's easy to feel the fatigue and think you've done enough.

Ok, I've decided you're an evil mofo who really enjoys this stuff!

Yeah mate - did 25km round the streets here the other day and had an elevation change of about 5m š
Iām much more in to riding trails etc than on the roads. Same goes for my running

@voodoo dude I hate this shit ha ha. But I'm still aiming to get under a hundred kg and had been cranking towards that goal. So I was already losing a bit of muscle mass as part of my cut - that kind of makes zero access to heavy weights a bit easier to handle... not really but I'll keep telling myself that.
Probably the biggest other factor is no booze - haven't had a drink since late Feb which isn't unusual for me these days. Funny how 2 kids under 3 either drives you to drink or away from it! -

So I'm feeling happy with myself right now.
My few months in Bali consisted of runs in the 5-8km range, all around the 5m/km pace, given the heat and humidity there.
Coming back into lockdown, I set myself a goal of running 10kms in under 45mins, 4:30/km ave.
Did a longer 15km run last week, then an 8km on my own, and a bunch of shorter stuff with the kids.
First 10km hitout 2 days ago, managed 4:45/km for a time of 47:32.
Rest day yesterday, then another crack today.
Came home in 44:48, ave 4:29/km . Absolutely stoked.
Was travelling really well for the first 5kms and had some time in the bank, then realised I'd gone down a decent hill just before the turnaround. Absolutely grovelled my way back up, and thought I was toast for the day, lungs and legs. But hung in, and got a 2nd wind, and scraped home!
So now, with my lockdown goal achieved, the question is do I put my feet up for the next 25 days and get fat again, or set a new target???
I think I'll wait until tomorrow to decide...
You can fuck right off.
Training my arse off for 6 straight fucking months and the fastest 10k I've done is around 49 minutes. Zero chance of improving on that.
Fuck you.

ADD ME ON STRAVA

@Bones Strava lost me when they added too much social networking to their app. Add a photo, comment on your run, like a fellow competitors run, do you know such and such.
Grumpy old man here, fuck that.
I use Garmin, and I have no friends on it, or desire to add friends.

@MajorRage My suunto ambit is too old to pair with Strava, so I'm saved that.
