Lockdown/Covid Check In
-
I loved getting on the lash, but like @voodoo it is the experience with the mates I miss more than anything
now, if I have more than 3 drinks in a session, she's a pretty big night!!
I bought a doz beers last weekend (11th) and there are 4 of them left
-
@taniwharugby in my advancing years I get shivers when being invited to a stag do or 21st that has a lads event involved. Totally down for the social side of things and some beersies. But I have zero interest in getting munted, especially when it hits spirits o'clock and punks start sculling it straight.
-
@Paekakboyz haha I know the last stag do I went to (pretty much 2 years back) I arrived about 4pm, the rest of them had been drinking for 2 hours or more already (at a Bach in Leigh) so I 'had' to catch up apparently...I remember dowing a few quick ones when I arrived, I remember the taxi to the pubs, I remember being at the pub, I remember taxiing home, I remember someone lining up shots of Tequila back at the house, then I remember waking up downstairs on a concrete floor...beside a comfy looking couch!
I dont recall the strpper turning up, and one of the guys paying her to leave as 2 of the other guys had gone feral....

If Burger King in the Mount was anything to go by, BK was well on track to go bust even without Covid. The restaurant area made most student flats look pristine, and “fast food” was a misnomer...
Yep that’s common with most or at least a large number of fast food joints. It’s not really surprising given so many are basically run by kids.
BK always seemed under staffed to me as well. -
Genuinely locked down, because the wife has taken both sets of keys... Only found out after I changed to go for a midday run.
-
BK hasn't been focusing on anything other than immediate profits since the current owners bought the NZ operations. They got banned from hiring migrants because they lost an employment case which found that they had been paying below minimum wage. There's simply no way to describe that as anything other than organisational incompetence - they have the money, they simply don't want to spend more than the bare minimum, and then got it wrong.

There would be a death in our household. I'm not sure who.
-
I honestly just dont drink much anymore!
HAd a healthy serve of Drambuie on rocks last night, but I wont have another alcoholic drink until Friday, then I'll have 1 or 2 beers, althogh I did have 3 last Friday at my 'work drinks' which I would have if we went to the restaurant over the road at lunchtime on a Friday too

Am I misunderstanding?
Why are you locking your doors during a lockdown? You think burglars are active? You think people will randomly come by and discover you are not there and knick some stuff?
Could you imagine the size of the testicles of a burgler trying his luck during the middle of the day and with everyone ordered to be at home? -

- Secure access requires electronic tag.
- With a lack of businesses open, petty cash thefts are more difficult for meth heads. Desperation makes them brazen.

that's nice

@Baron-Silas-Greenback there have been folks cruising in our area to try and pick stuff up from peoples properties - I don't think there have been any in-home burgs but still some sketchy stuff. I think we know there will be some pretty desperate people out there - especially addicts

Do people realise beer isn't like wine?
