Just finished What We Do In The Shadows. Thought it was really well done eh. Some proper snort moments and the vampire council was brilliant.
So finished S1. I'm currently watching S2 and while I don't think it's as good as S1 there are still plenty of funny scenes. Some good cameos too.

Netflix have a series Snowpiercer based on on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige. You may remember the movie Snowpiercer from 2013 which I liked.
Also the Netflix series has Jennifer Connelly.

The last episodeS2E6 is brilliant. Close to one of the best. 'Jackie Daytona'@Bones , It was picked up by BBC first time. They are promoting S1 on the front page of iPlayer so maybe that is a pre-cursor to S2 being shown. It flew under the radar a bit in the UK which I find surprising as the humour is probably more British than American (although it does lack in toilet humour)

@Crucial fingers crossed. I just hope this time I don't have to watch most of the episodes with the screen set to half size and a massive border as they've decided they want to include the sign language lady.
Is that the current showing on iPlayer? Usually that is only done on re-runs in the early hours. I used to see it if falling asleep in front of the tele

Yup! The stupid thing is there was two or three without it. Even more annoying for a deaf person.

Lazy Sunday viewing. Found the new version of Van der Valk.
Standard police procedural and although set in Amsterdam, the actors aren’t remotely Dutch.
Well made though and entertaining without being taxing.Yeah, so I gave this a go and thought it was pretty good. You do have to make your mind up to get over the wide boy accents and dialogue though. A little too much "Nah, he's done a runner innee".

Mindhunter
Really trying to stick with this as I get to the end of season 1 but FFS it is sedate in its pacing. There are series that are more entertaining.
Bloody loved it. Reading John Douglas's books years ago may have helped

Mrs M is currently hooked on A Place To Call Home

Yeah. It's a brit cop show set in Amsterdam. Makes the scenery more interesting though and allows bike chases

I have no idea if these stories are based on the original books but I thought they were well plotted and good in the procedural basis.

Yeah. Definitely worth watching as they are well made and a nice change from the shows trying to out do each other with cleverness.
And they don't mumble!

It's a great show, gets close to my top 10.
The Last Kingdom update: Liked most of S2 then was liking S3 and then it just went a bit plot crazy. It feels like characters are doing stuff not because of their character but because of where the plot wants them to be. I think I'm still only halfway through S3. The fact it's 8 episode seasons makes it an easier watch.

Finished Upload...enjoyable series, not great, but enjoyable.
Well left for S2.

Halfway through the season of Hollywood and loving it.
We started watching last night. Def. got us hooked.

@Victor-Meldrew I think Dylan McDermott was my fave on the show. He had such a Clark Gable lovable rogue air. Actually all the older actors got some good snark/winks in.
