The important thing is you all got to go to the rugby again. So there's that to look forward to in eight to 12 weeks..?
-
this is embarrassing now, first all the fawning of Cindy and her teams response, now, the utter, utter fucking ineptitude of the managing of our fucking borders, the silver bullet in our armory.
You knew there would be more cases, but these should have only been people in quarantine
Makes me so fucking angry...saw a client the other day, they laid off 30 staff post L4, right now, they are hiring 10 or so back on casual contracts as the post-lockdown work bubble has them busy AF, but they are reluctant to make them permanent just yet.
We have been told we wont be having rem review this year...on one hand I think, fuck I have had a great year, worked my arse off...on the other hand, I have a pretty safe job and they aint cutting my pay, so YAY me!
-
@taniwharugby good calls mate.
Clients want fat discounts, and some people are dishing them out. No pay reviews this year I don't think. I'm ok with that too to be fair, these are not normal economic times.
Mind you, normal enough to crank up minimum wage with all the wage inflation that entails...

Surely at the moment people gathered in protest was the time NZ took their eye off the ball.
Think it's a bit sanctimonious to expect all people released early on quarantine would be strict with their precautions. Horrible to dox them for it. You'd all done a bloody good job in totally unnatural circumstances for a couple of long months.
Please don't beat dog because the boss left the gate open.

And now the story about the 2 absconders turns into 6 people from the same family who had been granted compassionate leave to attend a tangi. 4 were rounded up but the other 2 were awol.

And an American woman went to a wake the day after she arrived at the weekend, and was only tested the day after that.

And an Auckland gym owner is saying that the two women actually did have contact with someone in Auckland who then came to a PT session at the gym. The gym owner is not happy.

Incredible incompetence, but of course not the fault of anybody in power.
-
Little wonder people needed to be baby-stepped through the do's and dont's for L4 and down...a decent chuck of people are fucking stupid.
Truth slowly coming out
-
@taniwharugby How lucky we are to have such calm and reassuring people in control. Fucking retards.
-
And as for the crew on The Project who were giving Michael Woodhouse a frosty time tonight for doing his job, for shame. Somehow he was at fault for asking questions in parliament rather than alerting the authorities with his information about the two women getting lost. And then he was asked about his use of the “kiss and cuddle” phrase. Because, you know, let’s get our priorities right.

ah well, we had a good run...need to start checking out street corners for best spots to put up a cardboard box...
I need to have a break from the internet me thinks, might even have a mid-week alcoholic drink, something I rarely do.
