Coronavirus - New Zealand

Surely at the moment people gathered in protest was the time NZ took their eye off the ball.
Think it's a bit sanctimonious to expect all people released early on quarantine would be strict with their precautions. Horrible to dox them for it. You'd all done a bloody good job in totally unnatural circumstances for a couple of long months.
Please don't beat dog because the boss left the gate open.

And now the story about the 2 absconders turns into 6 people from the same family who had been granted compassionate leave to attend a tangi. 4 were rounded up but the other 2 were awol.

And an American woman went to a wake the day after she arrived at the weekend, and was only tested the day after that.

And an Auckland gym owner is saying that the two women actually did have contact with someone in Auckland who then came to a PT session at the gym. The gym owner is not happy.

Incredible incompetence, but of course not the fault of anybody in power.

Little wonder people needed to be baby-stepped through the do's and dont's for L4 and down...a decent chuck of people are fucking stupid.
Truth slowly coming out
-
@taniwharugby How lucky we are to have such calm and reassuring people in control. Fucking retards.
-
And as for the crew on The Project who were giving Michael Woodhouse a frosty time tonight for doing his job, for shame. Somehow he was at fault for asking questions in parliament rather than alerting the authorities with his information about the two women getting lost. And then he was asked about his use of the “kiss and cuddle” phrase. Because, you know, let’s get our priorities right.
-
ah well, we had a good run...need to start checking out street corners for best spots to put up a cardboard box...
I need to have a break from the internet me thinks, might even have a mid-week alcoholic drink, something I rarely do.

I really hate those fluffybunnies. It isn't news, it's a fucking fluff piece and they farking love Cindy, after they've gone down on her they've forgotten that she and her lot have royally fucked up. The truth isn't a trickle, it's a flood now, and I AM SO FUCKING MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the armed forces are running the show now

Compulsory quarantine, no exceptions. You don't like it? Piss off back to where you came from
-
No more fucking 5 star hotels. I heard from reliable sources that many of the critters staying in said hotels smoke in the rooms and trash them
-
User pays for the right to quarantine in Godzone. Why are we, Johnny taxpayer paying for these people to stay? You want in, you pay your way
-
Quarantine is to be at a secure facility, like the empty defence base in Whangaparoa, all people to be fully supervised at all times
-

I'm still struggling to wrap my head around why officials were allowed to grant exemptions from quarantine, after we were all told this virus is SO serious we have to shut the entire country down at a massive cost to everyone to stop the spread.
Do we just not really care about Covid anymore? Is it actually not the serious pandemic they said it was initially?
Given the initial response and the impact to everyone's lives my expectation would be any exemption would need to be signed off by the PM herself.
-
The more info that comes out about both exemption situations, the more furious I get. Especially at the lies. Health officials insisting they went non stop Auckland to Wellington, rest of NZ um no I don't think so. That's such a shitty habit with this government. Step one, no no couldn't happen. Step two did not happen. Step three it may have happened but we are not to blame.
Yes you fucking are to blame. And your floundering incompetence is downright embarrassing.
