Yeah I agree, those Aussies showed fight and a bit of talent, I think they can stretch us to a third day at least.

It's strange but one of the positive things about BMac's captaincy in ODIs is actually a weakness in test cricket.

The revolutionary thing about BMac in ODIs (and part of the reason that NZ made the final in CWC) was his refusal to stick to a formula with his bowlers. Bowling dangerous bowlers until they finished their 10 rather than switch to the weaker bowlers - once the opposition was struggling. See how many times a side has 5 down and the skipper switches to his weaker bowlers to use up their allocation, the batsmen get set and the previously dangerous bowlers get thrashed to all parts when they return.

In tests, BMac has shown a gambler's approach when he needs wickets - example is Stokes in the first test at Lords last year. Kept on trying to buy his wicket because he was going for his shots when the conservative strangle and probe of weaknesses would have yielded better results.

I'm sure someone on here was talking about Friday as the start of the next test - as it was in my head as well

Cricinfo has a few bugs at the moment, the player search function in particular. I guess that's the price you pay for sharing a site with a billion indian fanatics.

BMac has confirmed Henry is playing so it's between Craig and Wagner for the last bowling spot.

I'll be very surprised if McCullum hasn't strode to the crease by lunchtime.
