Funny game this one in that our (my) biggest hope for a win is the fucking ground it's being played at!

It's the only reason I didn't advise my ocker mate to put a lazy tenner on his team.

More hope in the stadium than the team - crazy

    Its the aura

I am excited for this game, finally a real challenge at home against the Wallabies. I am going to try and just enjoy the rugby and not get too upset if we lose. A strong Wallaby team is good for world rugby and I am genuinely interested in watching how a coach such as Rennie can coach a group of players to maybe beat the best teams in the world, when they have struggled for so many years.

Also interesting if we can win with no locks. A super rookie and a "paywalled" Patrick. It seems you need an Auckland postcode to unlock and see his brilliance ๐Ÿ˜‰

@No-Quarter I remember Gibbet's April fools thread about Foster getting the AB gig. How we wailed, and then laughed...

Similar to how we joke about Hammertime now ๐Ÿ˜€

That's gonna trigger the fuck out of @Nepia

I'm going to need to utilise @Snowy's basement at this rate.

    @Tim

Good to see there's no complacency in the camp. And like Pat T's comments about the need to be more physical around the breakdown.

Stoked to see PUJ get a spot on the bench for this afternoons game. Iโ€™ve been passionately backing this kid since heโ€™s come out of school and this year he has truely come into his own.

I hope he takes his opportunity with both hands.

The sad thing about this game is that we could win but everything is still not headed in the right direction.

Manner of play will be more important. If we scuff our way to victory it will just paper over the cracks for a week

Look, I revised by original scoreline so what else can I do?

@NTA said in Bledisloe Two: Auckland, October 18:

    ABS 58, Wobs 3.

I'm assuming Wilson won't play having missed yesterday's run and team photo with illness. That isn't the reason for the scoreline tho.

While I appreciate Rennie is a good coach and has come in with a fresh set of eyes, I'm not yet convinced that we have the consistency in these players to perform two weeks in a row.

Meanwhile - and despite the selection waffle going on east of the Ta$man - I think there is the core components of the AB side to fire the fuck up and get the job done.

While he's a complete fuckwit, Coles is back to strengthen the ground game.
    Cane is a helluva player.
    Smith remains class at 9.
Despite this smokescreen of picking centres out of position, the return of ALB is a good choice to help bring some stability to the backline.
Beaugan will add some sparkle and that Clarke kid is a weapon.

I will back our blokes to make a game of it, but I'm realistic enough to understand that we've been at the edge of this cliff before, and it has been a couple of decades since we were worthy of a win anywhere in NZ, much less Eden Park.

Even a dominant victory wouldn't necessarily mean much.

The 99 ABs thumped the Wallabies at Eden Park.

Having said that i'll take any victory - not particularly confident!

@NTA just messing with you mate. We rarely lose at EP. And after an off colour performance last week you would expect some sort of backlash

The ABs should never play in Wellington again as their winning percentage is better at Newlands and Twickenham than Athletic Park/Caketin.

And unlike the past few years I think our guys will respond a bit as well. Rennie has basically said "get it right or next in line" which I hope the guys respond to

Rennie just produced the best Wallaby performance in NZ since 2001 in his first test - Wallabies have to be brimming with confidence.
