Good old Banshee, must be comforting for Hood ( and the others with big parts ) to know that no matter how concussed, shot, stabbed, beaten or sodomised they get at any one time it's nothing that can't be fixed with a stiff drink at Sugars followed by a night of rooting/sleeping. They're always right as rain the next morning.

Pretty certain my brain checked out early on in season one when Hood somehow managed to beat an MMA champ half to death with his bare hands.

You can sure check your brain out for most of the plot but as has been said many times excess violence and T&A, make it a good watch.

In that respect it isn't a lot different to GoT

Must be pretty scary for normal folk to enter Banshee knowing how many indestructible fighting machines live there. I think the writers overdo that a bit, I mean the punishment that Kai and his weird mate with glasses can endure is nothing short of ridiculous.

I echo the words of TR Jnr when he was 4 and someone asked him if watching Jurassic Park scared him - he looked at them like they were stupid and said 'It isn't real!' :idiot2:

I hear you but if it's set in modern times ( although the town is finctional of course ) maybe ya expect more realism.

That reminds me of something I read about some kid who'd seen Star Wars about a hundred times ( no it wasn't me, TR, M4L, Virg or NTA ) who met Sir Alec Guiness ( the 'thespian' who demeaned himself by playing Obi Wan ) and told him how many times he'd seen it. Sir AG reputedly destroyed said kid by making him promise never to watch it ever again.

What Ian McShane said is definitely fucken funny in one sense but part of me also thinks that they're paid a huge amount of money to make geeks dreams come to life. Maybe they should be a bit more accommodating.

So who's the best guess for being brought back by McShane's character in GoT?

The GoT trailer looks really good. Hated season 5 and the way it completely ignored the books. Without having a book as a template now this series could go either way. We can blame the fat bearded perv for that.

TWD. Season 6 has been spot on. Reckon some serious shit will go down in the last 2 episodes.

If anyone hasn't watched Bosch, I'd highly recommend it. Bit of a clichéd cop drama but done really well I reckon, felt on a par with the first True Detective. Just finished 2nd season which may be better than the 1st. It's an Amazon series...

Thanks. Saw an ad for that last night. Wondered what it was like.

Really itching to see The Americans in what looks to be the wrap up season (I'm guessing) and torn between jumping on it straight away or avoiding spoilers and saving it up.

It's the kind of show that has great cliffhangers though and does suit week by week.

This show is such quality and so highly rated critically yet has not gathered the size of audience it deserves. I wonder if it will become a bit of a sleeper like The Wire was.

Great scripts, the acting and characters are so good, tension, sex and violence yet the plot doesn't get so convoluted that you struggle to keep up.

If you haven't watched it I would really recommend bingeing your way through the first 3 series.

I like Titus Welliver, so have had my eye on this for a while, been putting off this and Peaky Blinders, just cos I don't need another series to get into!

Have heard good things about Night Manager and Hap Leonard looks good, especially as it has James Purefoy in it.

I'll probably wait until I can get half the series of The Americans, and then watch a couple a week, brilliant show.

Yeah I've got season 3 of the Americans sitting there waiting. Just started on the Night Manager too, which is proving excellent 3 episodes in.
