Visiting the brewery to take some beer home. I won’t crack one til the weekend though.

I'm perplexed at this talk of 'weekend' and 'can't wait until Friday'.

I don't drink to excess (in one sitting) very much. Can't handle hangovers but it would be a rare night when I don't have a beer or a dram.

So yeah - I did 13.5 hours of Dry July today.
Might do it again tomorrow, who knows.

    Alcoholics Journal:
Lunchtime - 2 pints of Double-Vision NZ Pilsner, 1 Abandoned APA, 1 Abandoned WCIPA
Rationalisation - some fluffybunny on the internet raised the concept of "Dry July", and I felt obliged to retaliate. Also, needed to dull the hangover.

My contribution to dry July will be not drinking from Sunday morning to Friday evening, 5.5 days of steadfast dedication.

Such tremendous sacrifice deserves a beer I reckon!

If you are finding that it hurts I believe that KY jelly helps.

Neither, I generally have to get up and get myself another drink.

    Dry July
@voodoo if the sky isn't doing it, I can't see why I should.

So... on the way home, I stopped for a cheeky pint or 4 at one of my locals.
And it turns out it's not actually "Dry July", but "Beer and a Pie July".
    So... that's happening, I guess.

Got a much better sound to it. The words just flow so easily.

    @kruse sleep in?

I’ve just worked out what this ‘Dry July’ malarkey is all about

It’s drink July dry - right. Like back in the day during capping week students would nominate a pub to drink out of all booze?

OK Now that’s settled. I’M IN!!!
