Ben is out of his depth
Frankly I thought he handled it well
Agreed. Not the best reffing display I’ve seen, but a long way from the worst and in a very charged atmosphere too. He did ok IMO.
I thought he did really well when interacting with the TMO. Let the TMO choose the angles and the replays but took responsibility for the decisions and defused any issues with Jonker being a Saffa.

Kolbe had his eyes on the ball the entire time
Jesus Christ 🤦♂️THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT OK!! THATS THE FUCKEN PROBLEM!!
Why not?
It's ludicrously reckless, not to mention bullshit. You can't disregard everyone else's safety just because you want to pretend you can only see the ball. Would certainly make for an interesting lineout as you don't even bother to compete and just get the guy at the front to run through the legs of the jumpers as he can't see them.
You are being absurd now as I try to get to grips with your point.
Do you agree that players can now no longer catch a ball when on the ground?
Is the basic coaching rule of always keep your eye on the ball no longer applicable?Excuse me? I'm being absurd? You're the one saying you should be allowed to recklessly take players out as long as you pretend you could only see the ball and nothing else.
Righto.
Yes, you are being absurd. And now, obtuse.

I'm not a BOK fan but think he did alright
16 of them on the field!
At least. Don't forget Rassie.

Sunday Times has Lions tight five outplaying Boks. Walrus gives Etzebeth ‘4K’ and call him overrated.
Only ratings which seem half decent are Rugby Pass.
Firstly, what does '4K' mean?
Secondly, Elizabeth is playing scary good rugby IMO.

Fat fingers: 4 out of 10.

In the backs, we have issues at 9 & 10 and I think the choice of 10 would dictate who plays at 9. I’d like to see Smith with Price but we won’t. Aki for Henshaw.
I thought Henshaw was OK but the Harris inclusion didn't work.
Gatland and co needs to decide how they want to play and select accordingly.
As you were then
No Plan B for Gats
It is Plan B, Warrenball Reloaded

If they've got anything like half decent footage, he's totally fucked.

This series is horrible as an advertisement for rugby.
Aerial bombardments and blokes running in to each other. Long games. Endless whinging about the refs. Professional rugby at its absolute worst.

Hopefully this makes WR sit up and take notice that the preeminent fixture in the calendar outside the RWC looks like this: The best players from Home Nations and the World Champions are playing this way, with these officials bringing the game into disrepute.

i am not holding my breath
although online chat seems to suggest even the home union supporters think its garbage.

@catogrande Duanne joined the Springbok squad yesterday. Might play on Saturday. Hendrikse from the Sharks also called up as substitute for Faf.

Why are they calling up a 4th scrummy? Seems a bit excessive. Also can you imagine the level of inane chatter from having 4 scrum halves in the same group? Unbearable
Could really do without Vermeulen being passed fit, last test was bad enough without him there

South Africa have always played this way.
And the Lions under Gatland the same. -

And the Lions under Gatland the same.SA have been involved in some of the best games in history by playing a similar game. Difference is they took a risk when the opportunity arose.
On Saturday it took until the 44th minute, and it worked too!
