Banshee.......
So the town is up in arms about 3 chicks being murdered over a year in similar circumstances ( RIP Rebecca you sexy little bitch ) yet three episodes in I conservatively estimate the bodycount to be over 20 already ( admittedly some being flashbacks from a few months prior ). Let's see, muso that Proctor killed, drug dealer that Burton killed, a few hillbilly meth dealers and the bloodbath when Job was handed over......

I don't mind live action GTA being somewhat unrealistic but the unevenness of the shows whole tone is beginning to irk......
-

My worry now with Banshee is that they haven't left a lot of time to wind everything up (only 3 more eps to go I think) and some storylines are barely getting started.
The Job storyline looks like one to suffer. He has acted the PTSD stuff really well and could do a whole offshoot show on his own that would be awesome but somehow I think this is going to end in a Job/Bowtie showdown with Job going in to save Carrie.
Eliza Dushku hasn't even got her tits out yet. Hood will have to get moving if we are going to end up in a Hood/Proctor showdown as Proctor looks to be lined up to have both the Nazis and Cartel after him.
Then there is the weird fucker with the horns. Hope Brock gets him.
-

If ever a character has grown on me in any TV show it's Brock, I thought he was a complete dickwad at first and now he's one of my favourites. I'm not gonna write anything further until someone tells me how to do the spoiler stuff though.

By Bowtie do you mean Burton ? he's one character I find particularly unconvincing.
-

See the third symbol along (just before the font dropdown). click that and you get a whole list of BBCodes. Scroll down to 'Spoiler' and click. A box will open for you to type in and it will create the spoiler stuff for you.

Alternately (eg if on Tapatalk) just type [spoiler#] your comment [/spoiler#] without the # thingies
-

Banshee continued.....
....Definitely getting the feeling that while Proctor is a big fish in a small pond this shit with the Cartel is gonna jump up and bit him in the ass. I've never quite understood why others in the show are so in awe and fear of him either, some of them are genuine hardasses themselves.
-

I am only 3 eps in, but I would like to know more about Burton, they started to show a little of him last year, but haven't continued...I'm not looking at spoilers as I don't know where they are in relation to me.
The whole thing with Jobe was very weak and rushed...so he is disappeared fro 18 months, Hood is missing, but once he comes back they find him in 5 mins?
-

TR you and I are exactly at the same point so feel free to read.....
There was an episode with lots of Burton flashbacks but the copy I had fucked up so missed a bit but the gist of it is Proctor rescued him from being tortured and he is a eunech who doesn't feel much pain. As I mentioned he does irritate me so I'm hoping someone gives him his beans. I have a feeling Proctor will go out in spectacular fashion but not at Hoods hands, I think as Crucial alluded to that the Cartel or Nazis may do away with him.
-
GoT has not just jumped the shark its now nuked the fridge. Fark me.

I actually liked it, and not exactly surprised with the ending.

Seems that fan theory you mentioned Virgil might just have some legs after that scene with Tyrion...? -

Not too mention they are setting up the original theory of R + L = J
Given the flashback of the young Starks, most notably a pretty kicks ass Lyanna Stark. Next week should be cool with the Tower of Joy flashback too -

also want Tommen to man up and deal to the High Sparrow!

-

Roose deserved eveything he got, he was a fool.Just a victim of Darwin.

-

With Ramsay destroying a Frey.. that also means that crossing The Twins jut a got a lot easier for anyone who gives Ramsay his beans....

-
Happy they brought Jon Snow back early too, didn't let it linger all season as you would normally expect the makers to do.
Oh and how much of an awesome angry grumpy bastard is Wun Wun. What a colossal error it was to accidentally shoot him with an arrow. -

Part of the problem with converting this type of saga to TV is the many storylines that need to be shown.

If you look at the number of key plotlines currently going you can see how some will get scant time in a series.

they already introduced one form the books which are donew now...but it seemed to fit with things now.
-
An easy fix to that would have been to expand the number of episodes from 10 to say 12. Sure it's a costly series to make but no doubt HBO is raking it in.
Also if you believe the show runners comment earlier that there's only around 13 episodes left after this season, it all seems a bit rushed with so much left out from the books.
