Entering Australia

<p>I'm 99% sure of this (then again my recent history with rugby laws has me doubting myself...) but it's ok for NZ passport holders to enter Australia on a one way ticket isn't it?</p>

<p>Ok to rock up with a one way ticket yes?</p>

<p>Although maybe that's a good way to get home cheaply - get a bit of fake tan, paddle out a few km on a raft, then hope they send you to the Cambodian offshore holding facility. Then its a shorter flight home, right? :)</p> -

<p>Heaps of kiwis there when I lived in Sydney in 2003 but then again there was heaps of Poms everywhere there. The bandwagoners who wouldn't have known a prop from a first five getting into the rugby were pretty hard to deal with which made it easy for me to support Oz in the final that year.</p> -

As above, yes - also it doesn't matter how long your NZ passport is valid for, as long as it's valid. -
Bondi had heaps of kiwis during the 90s. Places like Randwick and Waverley also had decent Maori communities. <br><br>
It seemed though that many of the kiwis have moved from Bondi over the years to the north shore or out to the burbs. -

<p>Yeah, last year I had less than a month left on passport and was heading over to NZ and the Cooks. I didn't check my passport so only knew I was cutting it close when leaving Sydney. I spoke with the customs or immigration help person and they said as long as your passport is valid (so any day before its expiry day) the day you step foot on Australian soil you're all good. </p>

<p>Priced out. Only gap year students from the wealthy poms can afford anything in Bondi now.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>If there's one thing I don't understand about Sydney, it's those that choose to live in the McMansion suburbs like Kellyville. I have friends that live there, who we have stayed with a few times.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I get that of course not all people can afford to be more central, but if I had to live out there, I'd rather live somewhere else all together.</p>
