@booboo someone I know lost a perfectly good Kelpie to a brown snake a couple of weeks back in the blue mountains.

    Should have been a cat.

Coz cats know to stay away from venomous snakes, and dogs are too dumb to?

Cats care about themselves while dogs look to protect their owners?

@machpants just a python. Not even venomous.

Silly buggers shouldn't leave their doors/windows open.

@nta This is a Kiwi site. There is no sentence where the subject is any sort of snake that should contain the words “just a”

'Aussie Snake Wranglers' on NatGeo Wild is my new favorite TV show.

Photogenic Strayans with mullets chasing slithery reptiles around the Sunny Coast.

Actually have their number in my phone, but think we have closer snake catchers.

    Great fun.

This thread instead of TV shows thread because ...

    ...Straya!

0h yeah, meant to mention that a number of the snakeys they catch (essentially two hours from us) are flavours we get here, in particular Kelly Keelback and Winston Whipsnake.

@booboo well I just suggested a dawn trip down to Canberra for a day out.

But apparently miss 14 is breaking up with her boyfriend tomorrow, so we are on emotional support duty.

    FFS...

She has to go to school with the skinny Iittle fuck, so there's that...

Extremely inconvenient to do this on a public holiday. All I'm saying.

I've decided maybe I take the boy out for the day to do driving lessons and track up some hours

My highlight for Invasion Day is to walk to the testing centre. Have been crook at home for 3 days with Covid symptoms but my RATs keep coming up negative.

@NTA I'm unsure why emotional support can't be given in the car and then in Canberra.

Because the chosen time is noon - the little fuckstick doesn't wake up until well after midday most days.
