The last two lines of this article are a quote from somebody within the Russian Embassy in Dublin and presumably are made with the approval of the Russian Ambassador. They are, if you don't mind me quoting them
"The incident is cause of extreme concern. We believe that no people of sound mind could support such senseless and barbaric actions."
They must be unaware of what is happening elsewhere in the world.

"Russian troop phone calls in Ukraine were intercepted after they used commercial phone lines to communicate. Russia built a 'secure' phone that relied on stable infrastructure in a warzone
The military was forced to use the unencrypted lines of communication after their own attacks on 3G towers broke the Russian government-built 'Era cryptophone' that was meant to be used to communicate.
The security failure allowed Ukraine’s defense intelligence agency to confirm that Russian general Vitaly Gerasimov, chief of staff of the 41st Army, was killed"

@victor-meldrew the hits just keep coming don't they. I guess 4G will be around for a while but how can any system be full proof if it's reliant on infrastructure... that you might be blowing up!

Mass formation psychosis, but it hits Vlad where it hurts the most, and that’s the main thing.

@antipodean that is even more terrifying. Putin's bucket list ain't exactly comparable with what most of us would be writing down!
-
@antipodean
Parkinson's. What next. Isn't the demonization of Putin and Russia a bit over the top. Esp when the wests leaders are not that great.I will wait and see.

@winger dont we see all those western leaders get lambasted some way or other too? i dont think biden, boris or even scomo and jacinda have avoided some sort of inflammatory headline...and they havent invaded another country in the last few weeks
