Bugger. Decent drummer in a decent band.
That one has come as a bit of a shock to be honest. I thought they were all wholesome teetotal family men now ?
News reports it as a drug overdose.
He said this in 2001 - "I was partying a lot. I wasn't a junkie per se, but I was partying. There was a year where the partying just got a little too heavy. Thank God on some level this guy gave me the wrong line with the wrong thing one night and I woke up going, 'What the fuck happened?' That was a real changing point for me."Perhaps not.

Very sad, saw them live in 2011 with Jack Black opening, was an epic night and Taylor did great solo half way through. RIP.

Rumours of chest pains and ambulances being called. Poss. heart attack? Went way too soon.
Watched a video he did on drumming for people who know nothing about drumming and it was really great - very informative and insightful. Tragic loss

He was with the band nearly their whole existence. Do they replace him? Or just pack it in?
Wouldn’t be surprised either way. A great gig for someone…..or they realise they’re at an age where it’s more dignified to pack it in rather than live off past memories.
They are meant to be touring down here later in the year or early 2023. I guess everything will be on hold now
