One of the better KISS songs, live in Australia with an orchestra.

@Tim said in What are you listening to, right now................:

    1983 thrash:

James Hetfield is such a cool rockstar. Awesome grunty voice and a very handy riffing guitarist who can play some tasty lead stuff as well. Actually the whole band are pretty bloody wicked even if Lars is low down on the list of rock stars you’d want a beer with.

James Hatfield, the Mark Knopfler of Heavy Metal.

I've really tried to like / get in to Metallica no to avail.

@dogmeat managed to see Eddie and the Hot Rods play that a couple of years ago. An unexpected bonus support to a Stiff Little Fingers gig. Got the crowd going big time.

Feelgood's only hit post Wilko, but still a good one.

Here's Wilko with Roger Daltrey doing a good early Feelgood impression

Not what I'm listening to as such, but if you are a big fan of the Foo Fighters, then this is a really interesting read about Taylor.

For 24 years, Taylor went all-out for Foo Fighters. Before he died, Hawkins told multiple friends he “couldn’t fucking do it anymore.”

@MajorRage a few people quoted in that article have already backed away from their statements. Which is interesting.

Drumming in hard rock groups is a fucken tough gig and only gets harder the older you get.

There’s a reason Bill Ward didn’t tour with Sabbath during their reunion. At 70 odd he simply wasn’t up to it. Sounds like Hawkins knew his time was up. Really sad.
