Why would you pay to watch a comedian, and then complain about a joke?
Sure, you can be annoyed they arent funny, but getting offended by a joke, seriously?
Jimmy Carrs latest show on Netflix, he almost puts it out there as a disclaimer that they are jokes, and then as part of it, reminds people we talked about this earlier....

@taniwharugby good letter writer, that Joe.

i watched Bill Burr's latest special on Netflix.
It was, okay? Few genuine laughs. As usual at his best when doing his "losing his shit" bits.
(actually his bits about flipping out about stuff hit a little close to home TBF).
Am i just getting sick of jokes whose main aim seems to be to wind up lefties? It's the same shit at the moment "haha woke is pathetic". They are all doing sort of the same routine with different delivery. Yes, the rapid twitter lefties are easy to laugh at, but come on guys.

I sat down to watch his latest special a few nights ago but it was in fact his "Presents" other comedians one. So I've got this one to look forward to tonight.
After listening to Burr on podcasts etc I think he's actually pretty subversive and would lean more left/woke than some of his fanboys think he does.
As for the 'wind up lefties stuff' I've sort of been saying this for a few years now - there's so may specials "where they say the things they can't say" because of the woke mob. When they're all saying the same thing. And all being able to say them. And all been getting paid pretty handsomely to say them. (Some of the specials are great, some pretty average).

I find he's too happy and contented in his life to be the balding ginger angry man he was when he was younger. That provided great source material - being mature and happier, not so much.
Still better than Hannah Gadsby.

So the first 40 odd minutes into the special I was sitting there thinking well I got this one wrong, he's just retreading the same anti woke shit (that a bunch of other comedians have done the past 5 years) but then I think he turned it around for the remainder of the special - I liked the stuff about his Dad and his daughter.
