Springsteen doing Glory Days with Macca doing support and I'm caught by Macca's bass playing - which you normally take for granted. Driving, uber-solid, distinctive but totally unflashy and just perfect for the song.
Man can play a mean 4 string.

@Victor-Meldrew the guy is just uber talented, but it's that restraint to 'just' lay a mean bassline that makes him something else aye. Dude just lives and breathes music and is happy leading or contributing. Hard to feel miffed if you are slappin the bass while Springsteen is ripping it up. Especially as it is Bruce's song.
Anyone get interested in dancehall/reggae inspired Drum and Bass? I've been trawling through some solid YouTube content but the old stuff is hard to find... possibly as I was a bit too focused on fun to remember wtf I was listening too back in the day.

Duran Duran was epic, way better than I thought it could be. Nile Rodgers & Chic kinda stole the show though.
Duran Duran are top notch musos with cool songs and Simon Le Bon has a terrific voice. It’s very pleasing to hear they were good.
Tony Thompson who was the drummer for Chic actually formed Power Station with the Taylor boys from Duran Duran and Robert Palmer.
Now THAT was a Supergroup.

Joe Walsh is a bit like Ozzy Osbourne in that he seems barely coherent when he talks but he still knows how to rock on stage. I love his unique voice, quirky lyrics and guitar playing ability.
I’ve mentioned on here quite often how overrated I think the Beatles are but Ringo is definitely likeable and loves what he does so hats off to him for that after all these years.

This article from Quincy Jones has always irked me a bit.
How do you define good / bad musicians? Ability to play a tune or ability to write a tune?
Ability to compose / put together a song, or ability to play a very complex time signature?
He can talk about Paul McCartney being a shitty bass player as much as he wants. But he owned Glastonbury this year playing bass, piano, guitar and singing. At 80 years old.
Quincy Jones opinion here is worth less than used toilet paper.
