Are you able to jump from outside the field of play and knock it back like that? It makes more sense to me that the player should be in the field of play when they jump

That does make sense, and I think that used to be the rule, but didn't they change it for some reason a couple of years back?

Yeah, I know they've tweaked that rule a bit lately, just not sure where they ended up with it. I guess you can be outside the field of play based on that haha

Maybe if you do it with enough confidence then the refs will just doubt whether they've remembered it right and let you get away with it

I don't know what Bell is complaining about. He keeps dropping his shoulder down and in, dragging the scrum down.

@hydro11 I like Mertz and Horan commentating. About the only ones I have the sound on for. But they both seem to be gunning badly for a Wallaby win that their comments are more biased than normal.

I always find Mehrts pretty hard going, doesn't add much and the Aussie bias is always as strong as any of the actual Aussies

Probably the best commentary team I’ve heard in years up here.

Miles Harrison, David Flatman and Justin Harrison.

Great mix of commentary, insights, explanations and light banter.

Flatman and Plank clearly supporters of own teams but neither going overboard. Really well played.

Farrell got MOTM. He did play well. I was impressed with his defence and his work at the breakdown in cleaning out. Very good goal kicking to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

Thought Lawes was brilliant. Huge influence across the whole 80 ball in hand, at the tackle and the lineout.

Vunipola made some huge carries particularly in that first half when they got their roll on.

Good win by England. The NH double so far.

Should have got someone red carded early.

Margin doesn't reflect the dominance. Very English win, controlling most of the first 40 on territory and possession. Rennie will need to find answers. And players.

    Lawes was huge today

Not much between them but some composure at the right time

    Decider should be great

@NTA you will be down two outside backs, not sure if there is enough cover in the current squad. JOC had a night to forget. He was poor and looks to lack a bit of match touch.

Surely they will call in one or two from OZ A?

Neville's injury looked to be an exact replica of Cane's against the Force. The refs need to stamp out that filth, and the TMO did nothing.

Hodge has already been called into the Wallabies.

But the TMO did pick up the magic trick of the match where the ball went from beyond the 50m line and back between the legs of the ball carrier behind the 50m line in a nanosecond without any video footage to show for it. Absolute magic.

I saw on the replay, Mako Vunipola ( I think) falling into Neville’s knee but assumed he fell/tripped? If not he deserves a citing.

No citing. He tripped over Fainga'a as Fainga'a got up off the ground and landed awkwardly. Shit for Neville but no malice at all.

Backline still looks all kind of wrong for Eng, but we muscled up and got the win. They all count.

JvP and Lawes the best players for me. Really mature debut (start) from the former and Lawes would be my MOM, his best game for a while.

Honourable mention for Billy V and Nowell.

Oz have been super unlucky with injuries this series. Just one after another.
