How is Young not even in the squad? He's better than Nicholls and Allen.

He hasn’t convinced at test level yet but has started his ODI career with a hiss and a roar.

    Very weird.

Yes his ODI matches are 2 v Bangladesh,3 V Netherlands,3 v Ireland not a lot to gauge him on as far as One Day international cricket as yet.

Fantastic display from our two superstars Bracewell and Santner. Nodded off watching Allen and Nicholls. So what a comeback. Really negative bowling by Thakur too. Congrats on the 100 Bracewell. Very memorable.

We are in trouble then if that is the superstar class we have.

Indian cricketers take a lot of shit for being dickheads, but to a man, they shook Bracewells hand at the end full of smiles and respect for what he almost did.

The players are fine, it’s the fans that are the dickheads

The fans are passionate about the sport like nothing else. Yes, they are one eyed as all hell, but that hardly makes them unique.

It's the administrators that I can't stand. They are one end of the spectrum on Chris' comments & behave exactly like that. It's pretty much so India's way or the highway.

Anyway, point wasn't to start a debate about India. More that it was really nice to see such genuine sportsmanship and appreciation from a bunch of players who aren't exactly noted for it.

Just showing my appreciation to average out the comments about the two of them on the fern. Actually I wondered if anyone would notice if someone said anything good about them.... Don't get that chance all that often...

They are giving Shami a lot of credit for the ball that came back in, but given Allen tried to put it over the leg side I think he picked it OK, just clean missed it and was a little unlucly to be bowled off a deflection from his pad.

Quite a bit of movement early on, probably a good toss to win for India

Nicholls looks out of sorts and is hogging the strike.

When was the last time Nicholls scored runs in any format for NZ? Serious question - I can't remember him doing much for a while.

Not sure if the batting is actually hard out there, but NZ not looking like a team batting to score the 300 they likely need for a par score.

Why are playing like a test match? just putting ourselves under more pressure and creating more issues.

12 runs needed to surpass 26.

Ok I just tuned in WTF is going on here I saw a couple of the dismissals very tentative outs.
Good length by the Indian bowlers but we are making them look better than they are bowling.
    Weak batting.

Philips and Bracewell bash us past the ultimate fail score... now to get past 36.

Pathetic batting performance, total lack of application or fight.
Alarming to see so many players bail out of the contest.

Only 109 to get for India. India will make light work of it in front of the 60K+ crowd

108 when you are 5-15 is a pretty decent return....
