Latham needs to have one of his significantly large home innings right now, I cant see him and Devon being on 200/0 later today though..no chance

I’m looking forward to this being a massive reverse jinx.

    You'll have a long wait ...

    yeah damn..worth a shout 🙂

Wow, I’m genuinely shocked that Martin Guptill who had what I’ve always thought of as a short and unsuccessful test career is sixth !!

With Conway & Williamson out and 200+ runs behind, this is when Nicholls at 4 and Bracewell at 7 suddenly starts to look a little ominous.

D K Morrison and M C Sneddon also on the list, each with a well compiled 1* to win a Test match together.

Be positive. Mitch jr and Blundell thrive for adversity. I’d certainly like that run rate to lift though !

Nicholls should only be selected if the opposition agrees to field with 11 Phil Tufnell's.

I saw we are now three down and just knew it would be Nicholls.

Christ his runs are drying up at an alarming rate. So much for stepping up after Rossco retired !

We don't have a No. 4 now so i don't see why we shouldn't try Phillips

i think people are getting confused, the filter is on batting at 1 or 2 only, Rod did play 4 tests, 2 of which were at 1 or 2 the other two were not

It was long and unsuccessful. He was just persisted with because he was good at shorter forms. His average his actually worse than it looks and padded against weaker teams.

If ever there was an incentive for Tom to increase his average at opener, surely that's it. Tom "5000 runs as an opener, second only to J Wright", Dad " You're also second as an opener on batting average in this family lol"

Knowing Rocket the first thing he would say was my 2 test average doesn’t stack up to your 72 test average Son.
    Humble dude is Rocket.

It would, Mate Rocket was a very good FB/First five played for Canterbury at Rugby was also a gun at squash and Golf just a natural.
He could hit a golf ball a long long way.

This partnership needs to be a big one or we are going to be 100 plus behind on the first innings.
Sri Lanka quicks have bowled really well pitched it up great length and found lots of movement a bit of a lesson for some of our quicks.
