Stoked for ScoRo. Glad he is getting the role next year and wasn't shoehorned into a team that wasn't his when Fozzie was going to get cut.

I hope they have the funds to buy O'Gara out of his contract, would like a bit of NH intelligence built in also.

Apparently the board was unanimous in supporting him over Joseph.
    Pretty comprehensive show of support.

He needs an assistant who knows the systems across a few teams like Crusaders, Canes, Highlanders. Hammet anyone?

I'm assuming Ryan for forwards, X for backs, and who knows for tackles, skills etc?

TBH a coaching team that includes Ryan and Brown looks pretty damn good to me.

4 years later than it should have been but yeah! Finally a coach selected on his record and not his connections. I expect some promotion of youth as the ABs need a rebuild.

As an aside I hope this lets foster concentrate on the job at hand. NZ are rank outsiders for the first time ever which might work in our favour.

@Kirwan said in It’s Razor. Robertson New All Blacks coach.:

@Bovidae said in Foster, Robertson etc:

This place will be fun if we get a repeat of the Cantablacks of the Mitchell/Deans era. There might be some TSF favourites on the outer.

I'm not going to be surprised if that's exactly what happens. Here come third pick journeymen Crusaders.

Let’s see if he proves me wrong.

Really don’t think that will be his style.

@Kirwan given preparation seems to be a big part of his successes to date, he has alot of months to get himself prepared for his first naming in what, May 2024?

Geez, that is a long time to wait now...

It's weird having two All Black coaches. Modern times I guess.

We have one coach, with another taking over when he leaves. Most jobs at my work are like that -- we know the replacement well out from the actual change.

How does that differ from when Hansen was clearly going to take over from Henry? Or when Foster was basically certain to take over from Hansen? If anything it is normal procedure now.

The Wyllie-Hart era was much more bizarre.

Onto more important matters, do leading CEOs like "Robbo" no longer wear a tie at important press meetings? Looks a bit scruffy. Should at least have a black turtleneck and cutler glasses.
PS suggest heading slightly change to Robertson to become "New All Blacks coach"

Got no problem with it. I don't expect for Razor to have any input until 2024, I'd expect him to answer any questions regarding the current team with a straight bat. He's won the job, now let Fozzie get on with it without distraction

Has to be less pressure if the expectation is lower and fozzie is technically already out the door .
