During the last lockdown a pod of orcas came into the lagoon to do their annual stingray cull and the police decided to put out a message telling everyone that the killer whales were out merking stingrays in the shallows but we should all stay inside and not go and watch.
Within 10 minutes there was crowds of people lining the path around the water and practically every car on the road had pulled over so the occupants could check out the show.
Ffs who wouldn't want to watch this ?NZ police

It triggers me to no end that Paremata is in this less than hilarious video.
I’m going to have to start identifying as someone from Whitby by the looks of things.
